As of Saturday morning, Jan. 11, details remained sparse and police tight-lipped about an apparent hit-and-run collision in Palmyra on Tuesday, Jan. 7, in which one of two involved vehicles struck a home.

Facebook posts described a two-vehicle incident at West Locust and Pine streets, and said the driver of one of the vehicles had fled the scene on foot.

Facebook photos posted on Jan. 7 showed a dark gray Honda CR-V that had struck the front of the home at 200 W. Pine St. The Honda appeared to have an out-of-state, possibly temporary, license plate.

Other Facebook photos showed police, EMS personnel, and an ambulance near a silver Toyota sedan with severe damage and deployed airbags.

At 2:21 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 10, Western Lebanon County Regional Police Department chief Andrew Winters, responding by email to a LebTown request for information, said “at this time, I can verify there was an accident at Pine and Locust St. Two people were taken to Hershey Medical Center. We are still investigating. There maybe more to share in another week or two.”

Winters declined to provide further information.
