The Lebanon County Department of Emergency Services has issued a Code Blue Alert for Sunday, Jan. 19, at 5 p.m. to Friday, Jan. 24, at 10 a.m.

The alert is based on National Weather Service forecasts indicating wind chills dropping below zero during the alert period. Lebanon County Weather is also tracking snow in the forecast for Sunday, with possible record cold to be reached next week.

Individuals and families who are homeless can contact Lebanon County Crisis Intervention during this period at 717-274-3363 for assistance in finding temporary overnight accommodations.

Additionally, Monday to Friday, Lebanon County Community Action Partnership can provide assistance to families from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. each day through their hotline at 717-273-9328 or their Lebanon offices at 220 E. Lehman St.
