MVP helps new Myerstown-based businesses get started.
Awareness continues to build for the Myerstown Vitality Partnership (MVP) for its ability to help local new businesses establish themselves in the market and be a resource for growth and development.
Our MVP News this month provides a good example.
Myerstown resident Ryan German had a dream. He wanted to be a self-starting entrepreneur and pursue a custom service for small businesses to fill a need when they needed something printed. Most printing companies require a minimum quantity order, which often deters job fulfillment.

Ryan saw this as an opportunity and started his Modern Gents business, working from his home with a laser printer. He pounded the pavement and offered his no minimum quantity printing business to potential clients. Work orders evolved from this effort and Modern Gent Hat Co. was on its way with a group of satisfied customers.

This early growth created a need for a location to handle the business’s growth. A home-based business was no longer practical.
Enter Seth Miller, the key contact at the MVP. (Seth can be reached by email at seth@myerstownvp.org; by phone at 717-679-6206; or in-person at 101 S. Railroad St., Suite 205, Myerstown, PA 17067.) An initial meeting led to a business relationship. With Seth’s help, Ryan found an affordable business location at 101 South Railroad Street (the Myerstown Borough Municipal Building).

Ryan’s business continues to grow at a healthy rate. He has added printing equipment and increased his capabilities and variety of printing jobs he provides for his growing list of satisfied customers.
“We established the business with customized printed hats, but our list of capabilities will continue to grow with other applications like t-shirts, apparel, and more, all with the ‘no minimum’ promise,” said Ryan, “all with quality products and affordable pricing. Our customer-focused attitude is evident in everything we print.”
