At its April meeting, the South Londonderry Township Board of Supervisors tabled the advertisement of revised nuisance and curfew ordinances.
Township manager John Eberly gave brief descriptions of the proposed changes to the ordinances.
For the nuisance ordinance, that includes updates to noise bans at nighttime and firearm and air gun safety zones. For the curfew ordinance, the end time would be changed from 6 a.m. to 5, and a mandatory warning that allows a citation to be issued for the first offense would be removed.
Overall, the language in both ordinances would be revised to make them easier to understand.
When asked about a motion to advertise changes to the ordinances, supervisors Jack Custer and William Bova raised concerns.
Custer noted specific concerns related to the proposed nuisance ordinance, stating that residents will be unable to work on their properties past 7 p.m. Bova also noted that the ordinances must be readvertised if changes are made following the initial advertisement.
Supervisors unanimously moved to post the proposed revisions on the township website to allow for resident feedback. Additionally, the board will further review and revise the proposed updates at this month’s workshop meeting on Wednesday, April 23.
Eberly also gave an overview of the 2026 budget development schedule.
Budget development meetings will be held on Wednesday, Sept. 24, and Wednesday, Oct. 22. Topics of discussion will include the roundabout at Airport and Forge roads, the sewer district 1 fund, and the fire tax funds in September, and the general fund, American Rescue Fund, and sewer district 2 fund in October.
From there, a request to advertise the proposed budget will be submitted for the Nov. 12 meeting. If necessary, final revisions can be made on Nov. 26. A request for final approval of the 2026 budget will take place at the Dec. 9 regular meeting.
The board unanimously approved the 2026 budget development schedule. The full schedule will be posted on the township website.
During the public comment portion of the meeting, Pat Krebs notified the board of a digitized version of a volume of World War II newsletters published on LebTown’s website. Krebs noted that this project is ongoing, and those interested in helping archive local historical artifacts should reach out.
Other township updates include the following:
- Chairwoman Faith Bucks said she has encouraged the Palmyra Area Recreation and Parks Commission to consider using grants to improve Ridge Road Soccer Park. Krebs also noted that she would like to see the commission incorporate more activities for adults. Bucks responded that she has raised this concern with the commission.
- South Londonderry Township will host an Earth Day event with the Tri-County Conewago Creek Association on Sunday, April 27, from 12 to 4 p.m. at Lawn Park.

- Campbelltown Community Alliance’s annual Spring Clean Up event will be held on Saturday, April 26, from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. Participants will meet at the township building.

- The board unanimously moved to approve the March 11 and 26 meeting minutes and bill and payroll lists 06-25 and 07-25.
The South Londonderry Township Board of Supervisors meets at 7 p.m. on the second Tuesday of each month. Meetings are held in the municipal building at 27 W. Market St. and are open to the public. Next month’s board meeting will be held on Tuesday, May 13.
