Grand reopening celebrations are planned this fall for all Big Lots stores.


Following acquisition by Variety Wholesalers of more than 200 stores as well as the brand name, Big Lots is expected to reopen its Cleona store on May 15, according to news reports.

The Cleona store at 467 W. Penn Ave. is among more than 200 locations nationwide expected to reopen by summer. The Cleona store is one of 10 included in “Wave 3” of the Pennsylvania reopenings, slated for May 15, according to BizNewsPA.

Variety has told trade publications that it plans to add new categories of merchandise to Big Lots stores. Jobs for the store currently posted on Indeed include store manager, assistant store manager, and customer service associate.
