LebTown features a different Lebanon County pet each Friday to help us enter the weekend with the best vibes possible.
Our Pet of the Week sometimes is a local furbaby who already lives in a happy Lebanon County home. Other times the weekly column will spotlight an animal that’s available for adoption through a local shelter and is seeking a forever family.
This week, meet adoptable Eva!
Eva, according to the Humane Society of Lebanon County, is a petite pitbull, probably 1 or 2 years old and weighing between 35 and 40 pounds.
“She found her way to us as a stray and was never reclaimed,” a shelter rep told LebTown. “When Eva came into the shelter, she was very nervous being in the new environment.”
Fortunately, “Eva has come out of her shell and made a lot of progress over the last couple of weeks. When her humans give her attention, she leans in for affection. Once Eva becomes more comfortable, she shows her fun, energetic personality and has lots of puppy energy!”
Eva also enjoys the play yard and “is currently working on some manners, like learning not to jump up and to work on her puppy-like mouthy-ness.” Eva would do well with older children, the shelter notes. “Canine siblings would depend upon a meet and greet.”
If you are interested in adopting Eva, please fill out the adoption application online at lebanonhumane.org or call the Humane Society at 717-628-1369 for more information.
