Cleona Borough police are investigating a two-vehicle crash Saturday night in North Annville Township that left two local men dead.
Police Chief Jeffrey Farneski said the department responded Saturday, May 3, around 7 p.m. for reports of a motor vehicle accident at the intersection of Syner and Palmyra Bellegrove roads.

Farneski said the crash involved a motorcycle and a mid-size SUV. The drivers of both vehicles, identified as 28-year-old Luis Enrique Ortiz of South Annville Township and 26-year-old Zachary Long of North Annville Township, were pronounced dead by the Lebanon County Coroner’s office at the scene.
The SUV’s sole passenger, a young child, escaped injury, police said. The child crawled out of the vehicle and was discovered in the roadway by first responders, Farneski said, who transported the child to Penn State Hershey Medical Center for evaluation. The child has been since reunited with his mother.
The intersection was closed to traffic for approximately four hours. Cleona police were assisted at the scene by North Annville Fire Company and Annville-Cleona Fire Department.
The cause of the accident is still under investigation.
