Larry McKenna’s Mt. Gretna Summer Concerts series gets underway on the Saturday of Memorial Day weekend at the Tabernacle at 7:30 p.m.
The first show features the fabulous GIRLS OF SUMMER in a reunion concert entitled “THE GREAT GIRL GROUPS OF THE 60’S & MORE.” This show marks the return of the original members of the group (Kate Nice, Lauryn Obozian, Maria Panvini, & Rachel Hendrickson) who first performed at the Tabernacle back in 2017.
Admission to this show and all others is PAY WHAT YOU WANT, with a free-will collection taken at intermission each show. There is seating for 700 under the roof of the Tabernacle and room for hundreds more around the perimeter of the building if you bring a lawn chair. All shows begin at 7:30 p.m. and are rain or shine. Each show features a band of six or seven musicians, as well as three to five vocalists.

July 12: “FROM GUY GROUPS TO BOY BANDS” featuring the show-stopping group THE GUISE, starring Johnny Drumgoole, Paul Klemmer, and Massimo Brutto. The show features the music of the great guy groups from the earlier years…such as the Beach Boys, the Beatles, the O’Jays, the Del Vikings, the Bee Gees, the Doobie Brothers, The Temptations, the Four Seasons, Earth, Wind & Fire and more. It also showcases the songs by later bands such as Boyz II Men, the Backstreet Boys, Maroon 5, *NSYNC, Coldplay, One Direction, and more.
July 19: “BROADWAY’S GREATEST HITS” is always a crowd favorite. Every year features a brand new show. Gretna favorites Kate Nice and Noah Bloom return again this year, along with newcomers Krystal Bly and Ryan Starczewski. Join the cast for an evening of Broadway’s greatest songs… old and new.
July 26: “THE MUSIC OF FLEETWOOD MAC & ABBA” performed by the popular group BLEND, featuring Gillian Booth, Willa Douglas, and Bea Levicoff, is back again this year with last summer’s biggest show of the season. Act One features the classic Fleetwood Mac songs such as “Go Your Own Way,” “Rhiannon,” “Dreams,” “Little Lies,” Landslide,” “Don’t Stop” and more. Then Act Two features all the great ABBA songs such as “Mamma Mia,” “Waterloo,” “Voulez-Vous,” “Super Trouper,” “Money, Money, Money,” “Honey, Honey,” “The Winner Takes It All,” “Dancing Queen,” and more.
August 23: FOUR FABULOUS FEMALE ICONS: THE MUSIC OF KAREN CARPENTER, LINDA RONSTADT, DOLLY PARTON, & CAROLE KING
The show features the greatest songs of the following artists: Karen Carpenter, Linda Ronstadt, Dolly Parton, & Carole King. The extraordinary cast features Cait Dailey, Alexis Ramagnano, Hannah Reiniger, and Gillian Booth. You will hear such great songs as “I Feel the Earth Move,” “Here You Come Again,” “Close to You,” “You’re No Good,” “It’s Too Late,” “We’ve Only Just Begun,” “When Will I Be Loved,” “9 to 5,” and more.
August 30: THE MUSIC OF MOTOWN show features all your favorite songs from this golden era. This show is produced by Reji Woods Productions and always packs them in. There be “dancing in the streets,” so join us for a magical night.
