Update: LebTown spoke to Darrin Armel on Friday, May 16, about the context of the sale.

Armel said that he originally purchased the property through Game Time Fun Inc. in 2022, which was owned by Armel Real Estate, a partnership between him and his wife as well as his brother and his wife. He said that soon after that his brother’s marriage dissolved and although they tried to figure out a way to operate and develop the property without the support of the full family, that proved unviable. The mini golf course along with the entirety of the real estate division were included in the divorce settlement, which was finalized about a year after purchase. Armel said they continued to collectively operate the facility for two more seasons while they sorted through options, but ultimately they weren’t able to find a way to make it financially sustainable.

“I hope that whoever ends up purchasing the property is able to maintain it as a mini golf course just so the kids have something,” Armel said.

He said that after having “taken something away” with Cedar Lanes he wanted to bring something back for the community.

“Life happens and you don’t see these things coming, and it’s unfortunate but you have to deal with it.”

Bennett Williams Commercial has listed the 5-acre Game Time Fun Center property in North Cornwall Township for $1.3 million.

The North Cornwall Township property at 10 S. 22nd St., formerly home to Yogeyโ€™s Miniature Golf & Ice Cream Parlor, was purchased in 2022 for $700,000 by Darrin Armel.

Armel owned Cedar Lanes Bowling Center for about 16 years before selling the property in 2016, which has since been redeveloped. It now holds a Panera Bread, Chipotle Mexican Grill, Aspen Dental, UPS Store, AT&T, and a soon-to-open Dave’s Hot Chicken.

In 2022, Armel discussed plans to add attractions to the site, including a bowling alley, laser tag, and an arcade, however no land development plans were ultimately submitted to North Cornwall Township for any development at the site.

According to the listing, the property offers a “unique purchasing opportunity for someone looking to own/operate or redevelop the 5-acre parcel.” The listing seems to have been in the works for time, making reference to the property’s location “directly behind the newly approved Sheetz coming to Lebanon,” which opened in February 2024.

According to its Google listing and a sign posted on the door, the business has permanently closed.
