Fleeing or attempting to elude a police officer – On May 10, police charged Noheli Marti-Acevedo, 32, with fleeing or attempting to elude a police officer, driving while suspended, and financial responsibility required after attempting to conduct a traffic stop on the 00 block of North 12th Street.
Fleeing or attempting to elude a police officer – On May 11, police charged Alfredo Rivera-Lugo, 34, with fleeing or attempting to elude a police officer, driving while suspended (DUI-related), and failure to stop at a red signal after attempting to conduct a traffic stop on the 900 block of Willow Street.
Drug possession – On May 16, police charged Freddy Morales, 52, with possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia after a traffic stop on the 200 block of North 8th Street.
Drug possession – On May 16, police charged Elvin Vazquez-Ramos, 45, with possession of drug paraphernalia after an incident on the 400 block of North 10th Street.
Drug possession – On May 16, police charged Frank Dian, 49, with possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia after an incident in the area of South 5th and Beechwood avenues.
North 8th Street road closure – North 8th Street will be closed from Scull Street to Church Street beginning May 16 until further notice. A structure on the 300 block of North 8th Street is being evaluated for structural integrity. Please avoid walking or driving on the 300 block of North 8th Street.
National Police Week – National Police Week serves as a unifying event, Lebanon city police said, honoring the memories of courageous law enforcement officers who have lost their lives in the line of duty. This special occasion brings together police personnel, families of fallen heroes, and community members to pay tribute to the selfless individuals who have made the ultimate sacrifice while serving their communities.

Law enforcement united – On Saturday, May 10, the New Jersey Division of Law Enforcement United Memorial Bike Ride made its way through Lebanon County as part of National Police Week. This heartfelt event unites current and retired law enforcement officers, as well as family members of fallen officers, for a three- to four-day journey from Atlantic City, New Jersey, to Washington, D.C. At each rest stop, a solemn tribute is paid to a fallen officer, with particularly emotional tributes delivered by those who have experienced personal loss. This event is the result of a collaborative effort between The Road to Hope Bicycle Ride, Project Active Armor, Concerns of Police Survivors, The Officer Down Memorial Page, and Spirit of Blue Foundation.
Veterans’ Memorial Walkway – The City of Lebanon invites residents to a special ceremony on Monday, May 26, at 10 a.m., to rededicate the Veterans’ Memorial Walkway — a space that honors the courage and sacrifice of U.S. veterans. The ceremony will include the singing of the National Anthem and other commemorative moments.
- Location: VMW between 5th and 7th streets.
- Parking: Lebanon Community Library and PA Counseling rear lot (off 5th Street).
The walkway has recently been enhanced with new trees, benches, picnic tables, updated fencing and bollards, and improved waste/recycling facilities — making it a more welcoming and reflective place for the community. The event will honor those who served while celebrating the revitalization of a meaningful community space.

Lebanon County Regional
Unlawful use of computer, theft by deception – On April 1, police responded to Giant Foods in North Cornwall Township for a theft complaint. An investigation revealed that an employee, Christina Orta, 41, used the store’s customer service computer to access her personal rewards account and other employees’ rewards accounts. Orta added rewards dollars to the accounts several times over a one-month period and fraudulently used her personal account to purchase $498.64 in merchandise. Police charged Orta with felony computer trespass, felony unlawful use of computer, misdemeanor access device fraud, and misdemeanor theft by deception.
DUI, drug possession – At 10:10 p.m. Feb. 23, police were flagged down for a reported erratic driver. Police located an occupied vehicle parked on the 2100 block of Colebrook Road in North Cornwall Township. An investigation revealed that the driver, Jayda Stamm, 20, was in possession of a controlled substance and was operating the vehicle while under the influence of a controlled substance with a DUI-related suspended license. Police charged Stamm with misdemeanor DUI-controlled substance, misdemeanor possession of a controlled substance, driving while BAC is 0.02% or greater while license is suspended, and driving while suspended.
North Londonderry Township
Harassment – Police filed non-traffic summary citations against a 66-year-old Annville man and his 39-year-old Annville son for their involvement in an incident at 7:56 a.m. May 5 on the 00 block of Birch Street, Annville. Both subjects engaged in a physical dispute and were cited due to them both sustaining injuries.
Theft by deception – Police filed charges against a 45-year-old Palmyra woman for her involvement an incident at 3:10 p.m. May 1 at Walmart in Palmyra. An investigation revealed that the woman fraudulently made returns at Walmart with no merchandise present and deprived Walmart of $146.22. Police charged her with theft by deception.
Harassment – Police charged a 61-year-old Palmyra man with harassment following an altercation with a 57-year-old Hershey woman at 5 p.m. April 28 on the 800 block of Pajabon Drive, when the man pushed the woman and caused her to fall.
Western Lebanon County Regional
Driving while suspended, drug possession – At 3:15 a.m. May 1, police pulled over a vehicle driven by Nicholas Valenti, 43, on the 1300 block of Horseshoe Pike for a vehicle code violation. Police found Valenti to have a DUI-suspended license and to be in possession of drug paraphernalia. Police took him into custody on charges of misdemeanor driving while operating privilege is DUI-suspended (fourth offense), misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia, summary unlawful activities, and a probation violation.
Bench warrant served – Around 5:33 p.m. May 12, police responded to a report of a suspicious person on the 300 block of North Railroad Street in Palmyra. Police made contact with Kenneth Knouse, 57, who was found to have an active bench warrant out of the Lancaster County Sheriff’s Department for failure to appear on a DUI charge. Police took Knouse into custody and transported him to LCCB.
Criminal trespass – On May 2, police responded to Lebanon Valley College for a trespassing incident at the Vernon and Doris Bishop Library. The LVC Public Safety Department reported that a 23-year-old man was on campus after previously being told to stay off campus by the department. The department received multiple reports of the man attempting to look at and touch the feet of employees and students. On May 3, a non-traffic citation was filed against the man, charging him with summary criminal trespass.
Public drunkenness, disorderly conduct – On April 30, police responded to the Corvette Bar and Grille for an unconscious person. Police identified the 34-year-old man, who was intoxicated, uncooperative, and walking in the middle of the road before police arrived. The man was hostile to police and EMS. Police charged the man with summary public drunkenness and disorderly conduct (ordinance).
Public drunkenness – On May 3, police charged a 40-year-old man with summary public drunkenness after an incident on the 100 block of North Concord Street in Annville at 12:38 a.m.
DUI, registration and certificate of title required – At 10 p.m. April 11, police responded to the intersection of North College and West Front streets in Palmyra for a single-vehicle crash. Police arrested Nathan Irvin, 46, and charged him with DUI-high rate of alcohol, DUI-general impairment, registration and certificate of title required, and required financial responsibility.
Burglary, criminal trespass, theft, summary violation – On May 7, police arrested Raymond Moritz III, 26, and charged him with felony burglary, felony criminal trespass, misdemeanor theft, and a summary violation for an incident on the 100 block of North Harrison Street in Palmyra at 5:37 p.m. May 7.
Bench warrant served – On May 13, police pulled over a vehicle on the 700 block of West North Avenue in Palmyra for traffic violations. Police identified the driver as David Smiley, 76, who was found to have a bench warrant out of Dauphin County for felony burglary and felony criminal trespass. Police arrested Smiley and transported him to LCCB without incident.
Attempt to identify – The Western Lebanon County Regional Police Department is asking for assistance identifying the three subjects regarding an illegal dumping incident on the 200 block of West Main Street in Palmyra. On May 4, these suspects repeatedly used someone’s dumpster without authorization to discard several large items of trash, including broken furniture.
