Bethel Township
DUI crash – At 6:52 p.m. May 25, a 2015 Mazda Mazda 3 driven by Amy Hillegas, 53, of Fredericksburg, was traveling west on Camp Strause Road, just north of its intersection with Monroe Valley Drive. As the Mazda approached a sharp left curve, it continued off the right shoulder, striking a large pile of utility poles lying on the ground. Hillegas was wearing a seatbelt, sustained a suspected minor injury, and was transported via Life Lion EMS to Hershey Medical Center. Police suspected that Hillegas was driving under the influence of alcohol. The Mazda was towed by Motter’s Towing.
City of Lebanon
DUI, drug possession – On May 21, police charged Diane Medina, 56, with DUI-alcohol and possession of drug paraphernalia after a traffic stop on the 200 block of Lehman Street.
Drug possession – On May 22, police charged Wilson Echavarria, 40, with possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia after an incident on the 900 block of Church Street.
DUI, driving without a license – Police charged Ricardo Gomez-Lopez, 37, with DUI-controlled substance and driving without a license after conducting a well-being check on March 15 on the 700 block of Federal Street. Police filed the charges on May 23 after receiving blood results from the Pennsylvania State Police Laboratory.
Endangering the welfare of children – On May 26, police charged Kaija Tiihonen, 28, with endangering the welfare of children after an incident on the 900 block of Mifflin Street. On May 27, police issued an arrest warrant against Tiihonen on this charge.
Arrest warrant – On May 27, police issued an arrest warrant against Fabian Arenas, 49, with the original charge being simple assault (domestic violence-related).
DUI, driving while suspended – On May 24, police charged Roseann Shannon, 46, with DUI-alcohol and driving while suspended after responding to the 1100 block of Federal Street for a report of an intoxicated person.
DUI, drug possession – On April 12, police charged Brent Barna, 45, with DUI-controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, and driving while suspended after responding to the 700 block of Willow Street for a report of an unconscious person inside a vehicle.
Simple assault, harassment – On May 26, police charged Luis Aquino-Rios, 25, with simple assault (domestic violence-related) and harassment after responding to the 1000 block of Reinoehl Street for a report of a domestic assault.
Drug possession – On May 28, police charged Gage Nafzinger, 22, with possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia after an incident on the 00 block of North 5th Street.
Theft – Police are investigating a theft that occurred around 3 a.m. May 22. The pictured subject entered several yards on the 300 block of North 3rd Street and took clothing from a residence. Anyone with information regarding the subject’s identity, contact the Lebanon City Police Department or submit a tip through CRIMEWATCH.
Retail theft – Police are attempting to identify the pictured male subject in reference to a retail theft. Anyone with information regarding the subject’s identity, contact Officer Day from the Lebanon City Police Department or submit a tip through CRIMEWATCH.

Scam text messages – There have been recent reports of people receiving text messages from the Pennsylvania Department of Motor Vehicles for failure to pay outstanding traffic tickets. The text messages are a scam, often containing a link to click for payment in an effort to obtain personal information, including banking information. To avoid being the victim of fraud or identity theft, do not respond to the text or click on the link for payment.
East Hanover Township
Vehicle accident – At 9:58 p.m. May 18, a 2013 Toyota Scion FRS driven by a 36-year-old Palmyra man was traveling south on Woods Lane when a deer ran into the Toyota’s path. The Toyota struck the deer, then struck a tree on the right shoulder. The man was wearing a seatbelt and sustained no injuries.
Harassment – At 4:57 a.m. May 19, a 30-year-old Annville man punched a 30-year-old Annville woman in the head twice with a closed fist on North State Route 934.
Theft – Sometime between 6 and 7:20 p.m. May 20, six people (one female and five males), all wearing flannel tops, dined at Harper’s Tavern but did not pay the $250 bill before leaving the restaurant. Anyone with information is asked to contact PSP Jonestown at 717-865-2194.
Vehicle accident – At 7:28 p.m. May 15, a 2008 Ford driven by a 20-year-old Mechanicsburg woman was traveling north on Gravel Hill Road and failed to clear the intersection with State Route 22 before entering it and being struck by a 2020 GMC driven by a 26-year-old Myerstown man. Both drivers were wearing seatbelts and sustained suspected minor injuries. The driver of the Ford was transported via Life Lion EMS to Hershey Medical Center for treatment. Both vehicles were towed from the scene.
Heidelberg Township
Criminal mischief under $1,000 – Around 10:17 p.m. May 17, police responded to the Clyde Martin Speedway, where a 63-year-old Kirkwood woman reported that sometime while attending the races between 5:30 and 9:30 p.m., her white 2022 Mitsubishi Outlander’s rear passenger’s side window was broken. The Mitsubishi was parked in a grass parking lot behind the track. The woman reported that there was a hole in the center of the window, and it shattered when she opened the rear door. There is no physical evidence suggesting how the window was broken.
Jackson Township
Vehicle accident – Around 7:59 a.m. May 7, a 2010 Toyota Corolla driven by a 17-year-old Myerstown female juvenile accompanied by a 15-year-old Myerstown male juvenile was traveling south on South Ramona Road and stopped at a stop sign near King Street. A 2016 Jeep Cherokee driven by a 31-year-old Lebanon woman was traveling east on King Street and came to the intersection. The Toyota proceeded into the intersection without clearance and struck the Jeep. The juveniles were wearing seatbelts and sustained no injuries. The woman was wearing a seatbelt, sustained a possible injury, and was transported via Myerstown First Aid Unit to Hershey Medical Center for treatment. Police charged the female juvenile with duties at stop signs.
Vehicle accident – At 7:22 p.m. May 25, a 2020 Harley-Davidson driven by a 50-year-old Myerstown man was traveling west on West McKinley Avenue, west of its intersection with Fernwood Drive. Due to the roadwork being done on West McKinley Avenue, the road has divots and scattered rocks. As the Harley-Davidson entered the intersection, it drove over a divot, and the driver lost control, falling onto his left side along with the Harley-Davidson. The driver was not wearing a helmet, sustained a suspected minor injury, and was transported via First Aid and Safety Patrol of Lebanon to Reading Hospital. The Harley-Davidson sustained minor damage.
Lebanon County Regional
Retail theft – On May 24, police responded to Walmart in North Lebanon Township for a retail theft. Nichole Gooden, 48, entered Walmart and concealed an item of clothing in her purse. Gooden went to the self-checkout area, where she failed to scan several more items. She left the store without paying for seven items worth $81.38. Gooden was arrested at Walmart and transported for processing and arraignment. Gooden was found to have two prior convictions for retail theft and was charged with felony retail theft.
DUI, drug possession – On Jan. 30, police pulled over a vehicle in the area of South 16th and Chestnut streets in North Cornwall Township and found the driver, Joshua Kreiser, 37, to be under the influence of a controlled substance. Kreiser was also in possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia and was driving on a suspended driver’s license. Police charged Kreiser with DUI-controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, and driving while suspended.
Criminal trespass – At 6:48 a.m. May 27, police responded to the 700 block of North 3rd Avenue in North Lebanon Township where a 17-year-old male juvenile had trespassed on private property that was posted with “No Trespassing” signs. A parent was contacted, and a citation for criminal trespass was filed.
Harassment – Around 1 p.m. May 20, police received a complaint regarding an assault at the athletic fields at 100 Wilhelm Ave. in North Cornwall Township. An 18-year-old male punched another student during an argument. Police charged the suspect with summary harassment.
Violations of township ordinances – At 9:37 p.m. May 9, police located three subjects in the Union Canal Park in North Lebanon Township, when the park is closed from dusk to dawn. Police found the subjects were drinking alcoholic beverages, which is also against park rules. Police charged a 19-year-old man for violating township ordinances for being in the park while it is closed, being in the park while intoxicated, and underage drinking.
Retail theft – On May 23, police received information from Walmart’s loss prevention in North Lebanon Township regarding a retail theft on May 9. Police identified the suspect as a 44-year-old man who took a 12-pack of Monster energy drinks valued at $21.98 and charged him with summary retail theft.
Aggravated indecent assault, unlawful contact with a minor – On March 27, police received a report of suspected child abuse on the 00 block of Green Acres Park in North Lebanon Township. The investigation resulted in the arrest of Dylan Brewer, a 20-year-old Lebanon resident. Police arrested Brewer and charged him with felony aggravated indecent assault, felony unlawful contact with a minor, and misdemeanor corruption of minors.
North Londonderry Township
Vehicle accident – At 2:48 p.m. May 21, a vehicle driven by a 33-year-old Mechanicsburg resident was backing out of a driveway on the 800 block of Londonderry Boulevard, failed to yield the right-of-way to a westbound vehicle on Londonderry Boulevard, and struck the vehicle. Police charged the Mechanicsburg resident with limitations on backing.
South Londonderry Township
Vehicle accident – At 5:09 p.m. April 11, police responded to a crash in the area of Mount Wilson and South Forge roads, where a 2000 Toyota Camry driven by a 26-year-old Manheim woman was traveling south on Mount Wilson Road when she lost control on the wet road while traveling through a curve. The vehicle exited the road and struck a utility pole and shrubs. The woman sustained no injuries. The vehicle was towed.
Hit-and-run – At 1:19 p.m. May 24, police responded to South Forge and Airport roads for a report of a hit-and-run crash. A woman reported that she was traveling north on South Forge Road in a red Subaru Forester when a driver in a white small SUV pulled out from Airport Road, causing the collision. The striking vehicle continued south on South Forge Road. Anyone with information is encouraged to contact South Londonderry Township police.
Swatara Township
Vehicle accident – At 5:53 a.m. May 24, a 2007 Chevrolet Silverado driven by a 17-year-old Lebanon male juvenile accompanied by a 16-year-old Lebanon male juvenile was traveling south on State Route 72. The Chevrolet failed to negotiate a left curve, exited the right side of the road, struck a fence, and rolled twice. Both juveniles were wearing a seatbelt, sustained a suspected minor injury, and were transported via First Aid and Safety Patrol of Lebanon and Life Lion EMS to Hershey Medical Center. The Chevrolet sustained disabling damage and was towed by May’s Towing. Police charged the driver with driving on roadways laned for traffic.
West Cornwall Township
Vehicle accident – At 3:15 p.m. May 22, a vehicle driven by a 38-year-old Lebanon woman was stopped in traffic in the area of SR 322 West and Spangler Road when a vehicle driven by a 58-year-old Manheim man rear-ended her vehicle. No injuries were reported. One vehicle was towed.
Western Lebanon County Regional
Scattering rubbish – On May 18, police cited a 26-year-old man, a 55-year-old man, and a 37-year-old woman for summary scattering rubbish-deposit waste after an incident on May 4 on the 200 block of West Main Street in Palmyra. Police said various household items and trash were left on another person’s property. The property owner paid $371 to have the trash removed. Disorderly conduct, confinement of dogs – Police charged a 50-year-old man with summary disorderly conduct and summary confinement of dogs after police responded to an incident on the 00 block of North Walnut Alley in Palmyra at 1:15 p.m. May 16.
Altered, forged, or counterfeit documents, driving while suspended – On May 7, police pulled over a vehicle on the 100 block of North Franklin Street in Palmyra for traffic violations. Police identified the driver as David Gragg, 38, who was found to have a suspended driver’s license, with seven prior convictions for this violation. Gragg was also displaying counterfeit inspection stickers on his vehicle. Police charged Gragg with misdemeanor counterfeit documents, summary driving while suspended, summary duties at stop signs, summary violations of use of certificate of inspection, and another criminal charge.
Harassment – At 9:34 p.m. May 11, police responded to the 200 block of Valley Lane in Annville for a domestic disturbance. It was reported that one of the involved parties, a 38-year-old man, struck another person and then left the scene before police arrived, and a 52-year-old man kicked another person. Police charged both men with summary harassment.
