The Friends of Coleman Memorial Park, in partnership with Visit Lebanon Valley, are thrilled to kick off the 2025 Summer Concert Series with an unforgettable evening of music on Saturday, June 14, from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. at Coleman Memorial Park.
The first concert in the series will feature the dynamic sounds of FlatPick Earth Society, a group that reimagines traditional bluegrass and folk with fresh energy and masterful musicianship. This exciting performance is free and open to the public.
At the heart of FlatPick Earth Society is Jesse Eisenbise, acclaimed guitarist, vocalist, and songwriter known for his role in founding the award-winning bluegrass band Colebrook Road. With a résumé that includes opening for bluegrass icons like Billy Strings, headlining at Nashville’s iconic Station Inn, and performing at festivals nationwide, Jesse brings a wealth of experience and soul to the stage.
Joining Jesse is Gavin Horning, a gifted guitarist with deep jazz roots and an equally passionate love for folk and bluegrass. At just 24 years old, Gavin became an adjunct professor of music and has performed with jazz luminaries including Sean Jones and Warren Wolf. His journey from inspired teenager to professional musician has come full circle, and now he’s lighting up stages alongside one of his early influences.
In addition to the incredible live music, attendees can enjoy delicious food from Gus Deraco’s Italian Sandwiches and locally crafted beer from Rotunda Brewing.
“FlatPick Earth Society brings something truly special to the park—talent, heart, and a sound that bridges generations,” said a spokesperson for Friends of Coleman Memorial Park. “We’re proud to open our Summer Concert Series with such accomplished musicians and a celebration of community.”
But the music doesn’t stop there—the series continues with two more exciting concerts: Galbraith Briody and Friends on July 12, followed by the Trey Alexander Band on August 9. Mark your calendars for a full summer of live music and local flavor!
Come early, bring a chair or blanket, and enjoy an evening of music, food, and fellowship under the open sky.
