LebTown features a different Lebanon County pet each Friday to help us enter the weekend with the best vibes possible.
The Pet of the Week sometimes features a local furbaby who already lives in a happy Lebanon County home. Other times the column spotlights an animal that’s available for adoption through a local shelter and is seeking a forever family.
This week, meet adoptable Oz!

The “great and powerful” Oz is cuddly, playful, and smart, according to Pitties.Love.Peace rep Mika Stiefel. He’s 4 years old, and has “stunning fur coloring,” she adds.
Oz “loves to play with his toys and be silly,” she says. He’s housebroken – he “has the cutest potty trot to signal that he needs to go,” Mika says – and he knows commands like “sit,” “lay down,” “roll over,” and “wait.”
He can be timid with new people, she notes, but he warms up over time. (Treats help!) He would do best in a home without other dogs or cats. He has “a zero tolerance policy for crating, but has demonstrated that he can be trusted with free rein of the house.”
Pitties.Love.Peace is looking “for a patient household that will allow Oz to adjust to new things at his own pace and will be ready for all the affection in return. If you think Oz could be a fit for your household, please click over to pittieslovepeace.com to submit your online application.
