LebTown features a different Lebanon County pet each Friday to help us enter the weekend with the best vibes possible.
The Pet of the Week sometimes features a local furbaby who already lives in a happy Lebanon County home. Other times the column spotlights an animal that’s available for adoption through a local shelter and is seeking a forever family.
This week, meet adoptable Clara!

Clara, according to Pitties.Love.Peace rep Mika Stiefel, “was rescued from living on a porch and came to us with almost no fur. She’s been with us for over 2 years now.”
A youthful 10 years old, Clara is a “40-pound pocket pittie,” Mika says. She’s a diva who craves attention from her people, she adds, and she has an “adorable underbite with snaggle teeth for added character.”

She also enjoys car rides and all things food-related although, as a senior pup, she “does not appreciate sharing her favorite things, but who could blame her?” That said, Mika adds, Clara could co-exist with a low-key male dog “but has no desire to play” with a frolicsome youngster. She also deals with some allergies, which will require routine medical management to keep her skin happy and healthy.
The rescue group is “looking for a laid-back family with a lot of love to give who will be committed to managing her allergies and giving her the best life has to offer,” Mika says.
