Meet The Team
Marie Carney Dunphy (Executive Producer) “Ree” Dunphy, local philanthropist and volunteer with many local charities, including Coaches vs. Cancer, produced The Summer Club with Jeff Coon in February, 2014. Ree’s friendship with Jeff dates back to his working summer jobs at her family’s restaurant, Carney’s, located in Cape May, NJ. With connections she’s made through her son JP’s theater career, she has put together another vehicle to benefit and enrich charities. A strong passion of Ree’s is the American Cancer Society’s AstraZeneca Hope Lodge in Cheltenham, PA. The facility opened in 2009 to provide free housing to cancer patients and their caregivers while they are receiving treatment in the Philadelphia area.
Jeffrey Coon (Executive Producer/vocalist) is a theatre artist, producer, and fundraiser who lived and worked in Philadelphia and Delco for over 25 years before assuming the role of Annual Fund and Foundation Director at Lancaster’s Fulton Theatre in 2018. He has performed in over 100 professional productions, with 36 of them being at Walnut Street Theatre and 15 of them at the Fulton. He is currently the Director of Development at Walnut Street Theatre in Philadelphia, but proudly calls Lancaster home. He is grateful for the tremendous support “The Summer Club” has received from Lancaster and Lebanon County audiences and thanks you all for being here tonight to kick off the holiday season in Summer Club style. He has a BA in Theatre Arts from the University of Pennsylvania. He is the proud father of Piper and Jackson and husband of Joey.
Joey Abramowicz (Producer/General Manager) has been the General Manager and Co-Producer of The Summer Club since its creation in 2014. He oversees all aspects of the organization, including hiring of performers, musicians, and working alongside Jeff Coon for the overall production. By day Joey is the Casting Associate and Entertainment Coordinator for the Fulton Theatre in Lancaster, PA. Fran Prisco was last seen on the Gretna Stage as Herbie in Gypsy. Thrilled to be back with The Summer Club! A Philadelphia based Actor, Singer, and Theatre Director, Fran has performed at most of his hometown’s regional theatres including over 40 productions at the Walnut Street Theatre where this Fall he will direct and play Sam Phillips in Million Dollar Quartet, followed by the Old Man in A Christmas Story, and this Spring he’ll ring in the USA’s 250th playing Founding Father Robert Livingston in 1776! Most recently Fran directed Forever Plaid at Lancaster PA’s Fulton Theatre. Love and thanks to Ree, J&J, JP, MOB, and SR. LET’S SWING!!!
JP Dunphy (The Kid) is a proud founding member of The Summer Club, thrilled to return to the stage for another unforgettable season of music, laughter, and memories. With a deep love of big band music and timeless showmanship, JP is thrilled to return for another show with heartfelt energy and charm. He’s endlessly grateful to be part of this incredible ensemble of friends and talent and audience. Being part of The Summer Club is more than just a show—it’s a gift.
Michael Philip O’Brien is Gretna Theatre’s Producing Artistic Director and a graduate of NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts. He was a co-founder and the Producing Artistic Director of 11th Hour Theatre Company in Philadelphia, where he produced over 45 musicals including multiple World and Regional premieres. Performing credits include: TUTS, Jazz at Lincoln Center, Milwaukee Rep, Walnut Street Theatre, Arden Theatre Company, Delaware Theatre Company, Bristol Riverside, 11th Hour and more.
Jaden Dominique (She/Her) is a powerhouse vocalist and performer from Valencia, California, and a proud graduate of Texas Christian University. No stranger to jazz and big bands, Jaden opened for the 41st Annual Playboy Jazz Festival and was a member of the award-winning vocal jazz ensemble 2’n4, earning Best Vocal Jazz Ensemble at the Monterey Jazz Festival and being named Outstanding Soloist by DownBeat Magazine in both 2017 and 2018. On stage, she starred as Mary Magdalene in the 50th Anniversary Tour of Jesus Christ Superstar, she recently made her Off- Broadway Debut in the The Big Gay Jamboree. Her regional credits include standout roles in Little Shop of Horrors, 9 to 5, The Secret Garden, The Color Purple, The Wiz, and Ragtime. Ben McNaboe (Conductor) is excited to be returning for his third collaboration with The Summer Club! A native Mainer and proud graduate of the University of Maine School of Performing Arts, Ben now lives in Lancaster, PA, where is the Music Supervisor and Resident Conductor at The Fulton Theatre. He is an avid orchestrator, arranger and pops conductor. Recent orchestral work includes collaborations with the Bangor Symphony, Portland Symphony, and Lancaster Symphony Orchestra.
