City of Lebanon
Theft by unlawful taking – On June 11, police responded to a report of a theft at a local cellphone store. An investigation revealed that Kedrin Sanchez-Figueroa, 21, accessed the store’s counter area and took items without permission. Police charged Sanchez-Figueroa with theft by unlawful taking.
Burglary, harassment, disorderly conduct – On July 8, police responded to the 100 block of Cumberland Street for reports of a disturbance. Police discovered that the other party knew the suspect, Elayna Vanbrunt, 30. After speaking with witnesses and viewing video evidence, police charged Vanbrunt with burglary, harassment, and disorderly conduct.
Drug possession – On Aug. 18, a traffic stop on the 100 block of North 7th Street involving a 43-year-old Lebanon woman led to the discovery of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia in her possession. Police charged her with possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Evading arrest or detention on foot – On Aug. 19, police observed Ebony Benitez, 27, walking on the 300 block of North 8th Street. Police knew Benitez had an active bench warrant out of the Lebanon County Sheriff’s Office. Benitez attempted to run from the officer but was taken into custody without further incident. Police charged Benitez with evading arrest or detention on foot.
Drug possession – On Aug. 19, police arrested Arian Cimini, 19, for possessing drug paraphernalia on the 00 block of South 10th Street.
Accident involving damage to attended vehicle/property – On Aug. 22, police responded to North Lincoln Avenue and Weidman Street for a crash and discovered that the driver of the striking vehicle had left the scene without exchanging information with the other driver. Police identified the suspect as Sean Weaver, 55, and charged him with accident involving damage to attended vehicle/property and driving while suspended as a result of his actions.
Simple assault – On Aug. 22, police responded to a reported assault on the 100 block of North 7th Street. According to the other party, the altercation began with a dispute that escalated into violence. Police later took Asiel Gonzalez, 35, into custody and charged him with simple assault.
Simple assault – On Aug. 23, police responded to the 300 block of North 9th Street for a domestic disturbance. After an investigation, police took Russell Nash, 34, into custody at the scene for simple assault (domestic violence-related).
Simple assault, discharging firearms prohibited, drug possession – On Aug. 23, police responded to the 1100 block of Jackson Boulevard for a weapons complaint and discovered that the suspect was in possession of a firearm in a parking lot. Police took the suspect, Jahdiel Lopez-Medina, 31, into custody without incident and charged him with simple assault (domestic violence-related), discharging firearms prohibited, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Drug possession – On Aug. 23, police arrested Oscar Fernandez, 20, for possessing a controlled substance during a traffic stop on the 100 block of North 8th Street.
Drug possession – On Aug. 24, police made contact with Angel Sepulveda Lamboy, a 43-year-old man, inside a parked vehicle at a park on the 700 block of North Hanover Street. Police located drug paraphernalia inside the vehicle and charged him with possession of drug paraphernalia.
Drug possession, public drunkenness, resisting arrest – On Aug. 26, police responded to a report of a man entering a vacant property on the 500 block of Arnold Street. When police arrived on the scene, the man fled on foot, prompting a brief foot chase. Police apprehended the man a short distance later. Police took the man, identified as Elvin Altreche, 23, into custody and discovered that Altreche was in possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia. Police charged Altreche with possession of a controlled substance, public drunkenness, and resisting arrest.
Drug possession, vagrancy – On Aug. 28, police were conducting a foot patrol on the 1100 block of Cumberland Street when they encountered Ismael Padilla Rosado, 54, on a walking path. Police discovered that he was in possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia. Police charged Padilla Rosado with possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, and vagrancy.
Police seek public’s help in identifying person of interest – The Lebanon City Police Department is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying a male involved in a theft investigation. East Hanover Township
Vehicle accident – At 5:43 a.m. Aug. 26, a crash occurred on SR 22 at Racehorse Drive. A 2007 Dodge Ram 1500 pickup truck driven by a 19-year-old Jonestown man was traveling west on SR 22 when the man fell asleep. His truck left the road and struck a utility pole on the right shoulder, then continued through a sign, over a guide rail, and down an embankment. The man was wearing a seatbelt, sustained a minor injury, and was transported via Life Lion EMS to Hershey Medical Center for treatment. Police charged the man with driving on roadways laned for traffic.
Heidelberg Township
Vehicle accident – At 5:31 p.m. Aug. 20, a crash occurred on Prescott Road at its intersection with Reistville Road involving a 1995 Ford Ranger driven by a 20-year-old Ephrata man, accompanied by a 21-year-old Ephrata man, and a 2019 Mazda 3 driven by a 24-year-old Richland man. The Ephrata driver was wearing a seatbelt and sustained a suspected minor injury but refused transport. The Ephrata passenger and the Richland man were wearing seatbelts and sustained no injuries. Police charged the Ephrata driver with duties at stop signs.
Jackson Township
Vehicle accident – At 4:27 p.m. Aug. 29, a crash occurred at the intersection of East Rosebud and Hilltop roads. A 2013 Ford Edge driven by a 17-year-old Myerstown female and a 2019 Nissan Rogue driven by a 74-year-old Myerstown woman were stopped at stop signs. Both vehicles entered the intersection, and the Ford struck the Nissan. Both drivers were wearing seatbelts and sustained no injuries. Both vehicles sustained disabling damage and were towed from the scene. Police charged the juvenile with obedience to traffic-control devices.
Lebanon County Regional
Endangering the welfare of children – Around 8:30 p.m. July 6, police responded to Walmart in North Lebanon Township for a child left alone in a vehicle. The vehicle was found to be unlocked and not running with a crying child inside. Police found that the child was left alone in the vehicle for about 45 minutes and identified the parent as Ali Marinkov, 35, and charged her with felony endangering the welfare of children and summary leaving child unattended in vehicle.
Retail theft – At 12:01 p.m. July 21, police responded to Target in North Cornwall Township for a retail theft. The investigation revealed that Christopher Baez, 22, stole merchandise from the store on July 8 and July 21. Police charged Baez with misdemeanor retail theft.
Public drunkenness – On Aug. 18, police responded to Stoever’s Dam in North Lebanon Township for a report of a suspicious vehicle that was doing donuts in the parking lot. Police found one of the occupants of the vehicle to be a 19-year-old man who was under the influence of alcohol and a controlled substance while under the age of 21. Police charged the man with summary public drunkenness and summary purchase, etc. alcoholic beverage by a minor.
Retail theft – At 5:29 p.m. Aug. 22, police responded to Walmart in North Lebanon Township after a 49-year-old woman stole merchandise from the store. Police charged the woman with summary retail theft.
Confinement of dogs – At 6:12 p.m. Aug. 23, police responded to the 1700 block of Woodridge Court in North Lebanon Township for an animal complaint. The investigation revealed that a 19-year-old man failed to confine/secure his dog, resulting in the dog leaving his property and biting another dog. Police charged the man with summary confinement of dogs.
Criminal trespass – At 12:27 p.m. Aug. 24, police responded to Walmart in North Lebanon Township after a 27-year-old man entered Walmart, knowing he was prohibited from entering the store. The man was escorted off the property and charged with summary criminal trespass.
Retail theft – On Aug. 27, police received information regarding a theft that occurred at Walmart in North Lebanon Township on July 11. Police charged a 20-year-old man with summary retail theft.
Drug possession – At 8:35 a.m. Aug. 28, police responded to the 900 block of Laurel Street in North Lebanon Township for a narcotics complaint. The investigation revealed that a 16-year-old male was in possession of a small amount of marijuana and drug paraphernalia. Police filed a juvenile allegation for misdemeanor possession of a small amount of marijuana and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia.
Millcreek Township
DUI – At 4:09 a.m. Aug. 10, a crash occurred on the 100 block of West Main Street. A 2013 Dodge Challenger driven by Peter Gachomba, 30, of Bernville, who was driving under the influence, caused a collision with vehicles driven by a 70-year-old Newmanstown man, a 68-year-old Newmanstown woman, and a 67-year-old Newmanstown woman. No injuries were reported. Police charged Gachomba with DUI-unsafe driving.
North Londonderry Township
Driving while suspended, possession of counterfeit inspection certificate – Police charged a 25-year-old Lebanon man with driving while suspended (DUI-related, third offense), possession of counterfeit inspection certificate, expired registration, and expired inspection after an incident at 7:24 a.m. Aug. 22 on the 1100 block of East Maple Street in Palmyra.
Vehicle accident – At 3:33 p.m. Aug. 27, a vehicle driven by a 34-year-old Harrisburg man struck the rear of a vehicle driven by a 48-year-old Highspire man on the 1300 block of East Main Street. The Harrisburg man was following the Highspire man and was attempting to make a lane change when he rear-ended him. The Harrisburg man’s vehicle sustained damage to its right front end and was towed from the scene. Police charged the Harrisburg man with following too closely.
Richland Borough
DUI – At 8:38 p.m. Aug. 22, a crash occurred on East Main Street at Poplar Street. A 1998 Chevrolet Corvette driven by Jack Keener, 73, of Lebanon, was traveling south on East Main Street. As the Corvette was traveling south, it struck a 2003 Chevrolet Silverado that was parked along the road. Keener was wearing a seatbelt and sustained no injuries. Police charged Keener with DUI-BAC 0.16% and greater.
South Lebanon Township
Sale or transfer of firearms, unsworn falsification to authorities – On April 2, Jeffery Wright, 53, attempted to purchase a firearm from Dunham’s Sports while not being legally permitted to do so. Police charged Wright with felony sale or transfer of firearms and misdemeanor unsworn falsification to authorities.
Drug possession – Around 2:34 a.m. Aug. 9, police pulled over a bicycle on the 2400 block of King Street and learned that the bicyclist, Nicholaus Hill, 35, was in possession of drug paraphernalia. Police charged Hill with misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia.
Drug possession – Around 8:23 p.m. Aug. 11, police pulled over a vehicle on the 700 block of East Walnut Street and learned that the driver, Tupac Vazquez-Disla, 18, was in possession of a controlled substance. Police charged Vazquez-Disla with misdemeanor possession of a small amount of marijuana and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia.
Obstructing administration of law, resisting arrest – Around 5:50 p.m. Aug. 16, police pulled over a vehicle on the 1400 block of King Street. An onlooker, identified as Kara Finch, 57, interfered with the investigation. After being instructed by police to move away from the scene dozens of times, Finch refused to comply and continued to interfere. Police charged Finch with misdemeanor obstructing administration of law or other governmental function, misdemeanor resisting arrest, and misdemeanor disorderly conduct.
Drug possession – Around 2:12 a.m. Aug. 25, police conducted an investigation of a suspicious vehicle along Fox Ridge Lane and learned that the occupant, Sthiven Batista, 29, was in possession of a controlled substance. Police charged Batista with misdemeanor possession of a small amount of marijuana.
South Londonderry Township
Vehicle accident – At 12:55 p.m. Aug. 22, police responded to the intersection of Colebrook and Lawn roads for a report of a one-vehicle crash. Police said a 17-year-old Elizabethtown juvenile veered off the road and struck a sign.
Union Township
DUI – At 11:08 p.m. Aug. 20, a crash occurred at Shepherd Street and Jonestown Road. A black 2019 Honda CRV driven by Nar Rai, 42, of Harrisburg, was traveling north on Shepherd Street when Rai attempted to turn left and struck a fire hydrant, a street sign, and a utility pole. The Honda was disabled. Rai fled the scene but was later located and taken into custody for driving under the influence. No injuries were reported. Police charged Rai with DUI-unsafe driving.
Western Lebanon County Regional
DUI, public drunkenness, careless driving – At 7:14 p.m. July 26, police responded to West Cherry and South College streets in Palmyra for a crash with injuries involving an electric bicycle. Police identified the rider as Alexander Cassel, 36, who was visibly intoxicated and arrested for DUI. Cassel’s BAC was 0.273% at the time of the crash. Police charged Cassel with felony DUI-highest rate of alcohol (fourth offense), felony DUI-incapable of safe driving (fourth offense), summary public drunkenness, and summary careless driving.
Driving while suspended – Around 2:51 a.m. Aug. 2, police observed William Fisher, 60, driving a vehicle while his driver’s license was suspended, relating to DUI charges, on the 1100 block of East Main Street in Annville. Police found that this was Fisher’s fourth offense and, on Aug. 21, charged Fisher with driving while suspended (DUI-related) through MDJ Ditzler’s office.
Harboring a dangerous dog, confinement of dogs – At 6:49 p.m. Aug. 9, police responded to the 100 block of North Ulrich Street in Annville for a dog attack. Police arrived on the scene and located a subject suffering injuries from a dog bite. Police identified the owner of the dog as a 37-year-old man. Police charged the man with summary harboring a dangerous dog, summary confinement of dogs, and summary rabies vaccination required.
Harassment – Around 2:22 p.m. Aug. 14, police responded to a domestic altercation on the 700 block of West Oak Street in Palmyra and determined that a 35-year-old man shoved another party during a dispute. Police charged the man with summary harassment through MDJ Warner’s office.
Flight to avoid apprehension, evading arrest, resisting arrest – At 4:59 p.m. Aug. 22, police stopped a man riding an electric bike on the 1200 block of East Main Street in Palmyra for traffic violations. Police identified the man as Gregory Livering, 41, who was found to have warrants out of Lebanon County and Pennsylvania State Parole for absconding. Police arrested Livering on the warrants. Separate charges of felony flight to avoid apprehension, misdemeanor evading arrest, misdemeanor resisting arrest, misdemeanor false identification to law enforcement, summary criminal mischief, and two summary traffic violations were also filed. Police transported Livering to LCCB before placing him into LCCF.
Disorderly conduct, resisting arrest, summary violations – At 3:37 p.m. Aug. 24, police arrested Eduardo Rodriguez-Martinez, 36, and charged him with misdemeanor disorderly conduct, misdemeanor resisting arrest, summary borough noise ordinance, summary driving at safe speeds, and summary rear lighting after a traffic stop on the 800 block of East Main Street in Palmyra.
Bench warrant served – Around 5:45 p.m. Aug. 27, police pulled over a blue Honda Accord on the 900 block of East Main Street in Palmyra. Police identified the driver and sole occupant of the vehicle as Christopher Frye, 40, of Lemoyne. Police found that Frye had an active bench warrant out of the Dauphin County Sheriff’s Department for failure to appear for arraignment, with the original charge being possession of drug paraphernalia. Police confirmed the warrant, took Frye into custody, and transported him to LCCB.
