Update 9/19: South Lebanon Township Police chief Ken Zimmerman told LebTown that there have been no reported sightings of the individual, Forrest James Pierce, since Monday and that he may very well have found transportation out of the area.
Update 9/15: As of Monday, Sept. 15, a 31-year-old man who went missing Friday remains on the lam. Police said that they learned from a relative that the individual, Forrest James Pierce, has been known to hide in wooded areas as well hopping rides on trains while trying to avoid police contact. South Lebanon Township Police chief Ken Zimmerman reiterated that the public should not approach Pierce directly if spotted, and should instead call 911 immediately. Find our original story below.
In a news release Friday evening, the South Lebanon Township Police Department alerted the public to a 31-year-old man who went missing from WellSpan Philhaven’s custody.
Police said they responded to a call at South Hills Park, 1100 S. Lincoln Ave., around 1:36 p.m. Friday. Officers were told that a patient from WellSpan Philhaven with outstanding warrants had eloped from his supervisors. Police said they were notified about 30 minutes after the initial elopement.
Police said the individual, Forrest James Pierce, was last seen fleeing through a residential area near Fox Run Road.
He is described as a white male, approximately 5’11” and 173 pounds. He was last seen wearing a cream-colored shirt, glasses, and a black beanie style hat.
South Lebanon Township Police are being assisted by Pennsylvania State Police and other local police agencies.
Members of the public are asked to not approach Pierce directly if spotted and to call 911 immediately.
