LebTown features a different Lebanon County pet each Friday to help us enter the weekend with the best vibes possible.
The Pet of the Week sometimes features a local furbaby who already lives in a happy Lebanon County home. Other times the column spotlights an animal that’s available for adoption through a local shelter and is seeking a forever family.
This week, meet adoptable Avocado!

“Holy guacamole!” Pitties.Love.Peace rep Mika Stiefel exclaims, noting that this 3-year-old male pup is “playful, endearing, snuggly” and a “perfect mix of active and calm.”
He’s a strong chewer, she warns, “so durable toys are a must.” Avocado enjoys going for car rides, and he is both crate-trained and housebroken.

Avocado is social with other dogs but would also be content as a new family’s one and only dog, Mika says. However, she says he is destined for a kitty-free home, and his ideal household would have no children under 12 years old “as he is not a fan of sharing his favorite things.”
Pitties.Love.Peace is looking for an active family “that will continue to show him the best things in life and include him in all of life’s adventures,” Mika says. If you think Avocado could be a fit for your household, please click over to pittieslovepeace.com to submit your online application.
