Bethel Township
Theft – At 11 a.m. July 23, police responded to South Pine Grove Street, Fredericksburg, where a female subject entered First Citizens Community Bank and gave a fraudulent check to a clerk, who exchanged the check for cash. The bank lost $5,632.17.
Burglary – At 4:09 p.m. July 30, police responded to West Main Street, Fredericksburg, for a report of a burglary affecting a 20-year-old woman and a 16-year-old male.
City of Lebanon
Endangering the welfare of children, public drunkenness – On Sept. 26, police charged Brittany Gettle, 33, with endangering the welfare of children, public drunkenness, and resisting arrest after an incident on the 700 block of North 3rd Avenue.
DUI, careless driving – On Sept. 27, police charged Bradley Hoffer Jr., 34, with DUI-controlled substance and careless driving after responding to a crash on the 200 block of South 9th Street.
DUI, drug possession – On Sept. 28, police charged Jose Pagan-Cruz, 32, with DUI-alcohol, possession of a controlled substance, and possession of drug paraphernalia after an incident on the 1200 block of Maple Street.
Simple assault – On Sept. 28, police charged Christian Santana, 37, with simple assault (domestic violence-related) after an incident in the area of 8th and Federal streets.
Receiving stolen property, drug possession – On Sept. 30, police charged Lalita Roscoe, 39, with receiving stolen property, possession of a controlled substance, and possession of drug paraphernalia after a traffic stop on the 1100 block of Quentin Road.
Drug possession – On Sept. 30, police charged Rebecca Runkel, 41, with possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia after an incident on the 200 block of South 6th Street.
Simple assault, harassment – On Oct. 1, police charged Jayvan Polanco, 29, with simple assault and harassment after responding to a domestic disturbance on the 00 block of Quince Street.
Drug possession – On Oct. 2, police charged Joseph Anderson, 54, with possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia after an incident in the area of 8th and Walton streets.
East Hanover Township
Vehicle accident – At 12:49 p.m. Sept. 13, an eastbound 2008 Subaru Forester driven by a 19-year-old Palmyra man on state Route 22 failed to slow down as it approached a right turn onto Gravel Hill Road. The Subaru struck a guide rail, sustained disabling damage, and was towed from the scene. The man was wearing a seatbelt and sustained no injuries. Police charged him with driving on roadways laned for traffic.
Vehicle accident – At 9:01 a.m. Sept. 20, a 2000 Honda motorcycle driven by a 51-year-old Fredericksburg man was traveling north on Blacks Bridge Road when he overcompensated on a right curve, and the motorcycle exited the left side of the road. The motorcycle struck a culvert and fell on its left side. The driver was not using safety equipment and sustained a suspected minor injury but was not transported. The motorcycle was towed. Police charged the driver with driving on roadways laned for traffic.
Natural death – At 7 a.m. Sept. 27, a 75-year-old Jonestown woman was found dead in her home on Racehorse Drive. The woman was in hospice. No foul play is suspected.
Heidelberg Township
Theft – A man who goes by the aliases Terry Jones and Paul Anderson set up a phone system at 888-430-4529, ext. 772, that answers calls by saying, “Thank you for calling Xfinity.” The man then sent text messages or emails indicating that Xfinity and Target were doing a promotion and told those affected that to get the deal they needed to provide him with gift cards. At 4:36 p.m. July 31, a 73-year-old Newmanstown woman and a 75-year-old Newmanstown man were scammed out of $640 in Target gift cards.
Jackson Township
Vehicle accident – At 10:30 a.m. Sept. 13, a 2021 Nissan Titan driven by a 44-year-old Newmanstown man was traveling around a curve on Elco Drive when the man noticed a farm tractor with an attached grain drill (wide trailer) approaching from the opposite lane and began to brake to allow the farm tractor to continue west. A 20-year-old Lebanon woman driving a 2014 Chevrolet Cruze was approaching the curve but failed to notice the Nissan stopped in the lane and struck the Nissan. The woman was wearing a seatbelt and sustained a suspected minor injury but refused transport. The man was wearing a seatbelt and sustained no injuries. The Chevrolet sustained disabling damage and was towed. The Nissan sustained functional damage and was driven from the scene.
Jonestown Borough
Vehicle accident – At 5:14 a.m. Sept. 24, a 2019 Hino box truck driven by a 32-year-old Harrisburg man was traveling south on North Lancaster Street, stopped at a stop sign, then proceeded through the intersection and struck a 2014 Chevrolet Sonic driven by a 44-year-old Jonestown woman, accompanied by a 5-year-old Jonestown female juvenile. The man was wearing a seatbelt and sustained no injuries. The woman was not wearing a seatbelt, sustained a suspected minor injury, and was transported via Life Lion EMS to Hershey Medical Center. The juvenile sustained a suspected minor injury and was transported via Life Lion EMS to Hershey Medical Center. The Chevrolet was towed. Police charged the man with duties at a stop sign.
Lebanon County Regional
DUI, drug possession – On June 8, police responded to the 300 block of Prescott Drive in North Lebanon Township for a crash with injuries. Police identified the subject as Rene Fraser, 32, found that Fraser was under the influence of alcohol and drugs, and took him into custody for DUI. Police also found that Fraser was in possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia. Police charged Fraser with misdemeanor DUI-alcohol-0.16% or higher, misdemeanor possession of a small amount of marijuana, misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia, and misdemeanor DUI-controlled substance-combination of alcohol/drugs.
Disorderly conduct – At 1:29 p.m. Aug. 14, police responded to a business in North Cornwall Township where a 56-year-old woman was yelling and slamming doors at the entrance, causing a scene. Police charged her with summary disorderly conduct.
Retail theft – At 4:03 p.m. Aug. 14, police responded to Boscov’s in West Lebanon Township, where two female juveniles entered the store and a 15-year-old female stole $160 worth of merchandise. Police charged her with retail theft.
Drug possession, disorderly conduct – At 1:37 a.m. Aug. 23, police were in the area of Rutter’s in West Lebanon Township when they observed a disturbance in the parking lot and found Joshua Erausquin-Maysonet, 37, to be intoxicated, creating a scene, and damaging property. Police took him into custody and found he was in possession of a controlled substance and related paraphernalia. Police charged Erausquin-Maysonet with possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, disorderly conduct, and public drunkenness.
Disorderly conduct – At 6:53 a.m. Aug. 24, police responded to the 1700 block of Center Street in North Cornwall Township for a report of loud noise and fireworks. The investigation revealed that an 18-year-old man was setting off fireworks, which disturbed several residents in the area. Police charged the man with summary disorderly conduct.
Public drunkenness – At 6:47 p.m. Aug. 28, police responded to Rutter’s in West Lebanon Township where a 34-year-old man was under the influence of a controlled substance to the degree that he could not care for himself. The man received medical care and was charged with summary public drunkenness.
Public drunkenness – At 8:12 p.m. Aug. 28, police responded to Sheetz in North Cornwall Township where a 36-year-old man was under the influence of a controlled substance to the degree that he could not care for himself. The man received medical care and was charged with summary public drunkenness.
Harassment – At 7:42 a.m. Sept. 5, police responded to the 1700 block of State Route 72 in North Lebanon Township for a crash. Police said a 46-year-old woman pushed the other driver following the collision. Police charged the woman with summary harassment.
Harassment – At 3:54 p.m. Sept. 5, police responded to the 100 block of Mountville Drive in North Lebanon Township for a domestic dispute. The investigation revealed that a 46-year-old woman touched a household member in the face with a lit cigarette during an argument. Police charged the woman with summary harassment.
Drug possession, criminal trespass – On Sept. 18, police responded to Rutter’s in West Lebanon Township for a trespass complaint. Police identified the suspect as Matthew Williams, 32, and found that Williams had a warrant. When taking him into custody, police found that he was in possession of narcotics and drug paraphernalia. Police charged Williams with misdemeanor possession of a controlled substance, misdemeanor possession of a small amount of marijuana, misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia, and summary criminal trespass.
Retail theft – Around 12:03 p.m. Sept. 18, police responded to Walmart in North Lebanon Township after a suspect stole merchandise, fled the store, and was later found at a nearby business. Police took the suspect into custody and identified him as Dillon Barnett, 28. Police charged Barnett with felony retail theft.
Criminal trespass – At 6:24 p.m. Sept. 20, police responded to the 700 block of North 3rd Avenue in North Lebanon Township after a 15-year-old male juvenile trespassed on the property. Police charged the juvenile with summary criminal trespass and released him to a parent.
Driving while suspended, driving unregistered vehicle – On Sept. 22, police pulled over a vehicle on the 1100 block of state Route 72 in North Lebanon Township for a vehicle code violation. The driver and vehicle owner, Tyrone Lowe, 52, had a suspended driver’s license in relation to a DUI charge. Also, the vehicle did not have a valid registration or inspection. Police charged Lowe with misdemeanor driving while suspended (DUI-related), summary operation without official certification of inspection, and summary driving unregistered vehicle.
Arrest warrant served – On Sept. 24, police apprehended Michael Evans, 52, following the issuance of a warrant for his arrest on two counts of theft by unlawful taking. This action was prompted by a theft reported on Sept. 2, which alleged that Evans stole a cellphone and $18,000 in the parking lot of Walmart in North Lebanon Township.
Buffalo Wild Wings Go grand opening – On Sept. 20, members of the Lebanon County Regional Police Department and North Cornwall Township Board of Supervisors attended the grand opening of Buffalo Wild Wings Go, located next to Jersey Mike’s in Quentin Crossings. The police department wanted to thank the owners of the new establishment, who graciously provided a donation to the police department.
Myerstown Borough
Liquor Control enforcement – The following licensed establishment was cited by the Pennsylvania State Police Bureau of Liquor Control Enforcement, Harrisburg District Enforcement Office, in August: Myerstown Memorial Post No. 6076 in Myerstown failed to operate small games of chance in conformity with the Small Games of Chance Act and Title 61 of the Pennsylvania Code in that winners of daily drawings were not determined on the same day that the chances for the drawings were sold, in violation of Section 328.103 of the Local Option Small Games of Chance Act.
Criminal mischief $1,000+ – Around 11:01 p.m. July 30, police responded to the Tobacco & Smoke Shop in Myerstown. Police discovered that someone had broken into the business and attempted to steal vaporizer pens. The break-in resulted in a damaged exterior window, valued at $2,500. Police apprehended a 14-year-old Myerstown male on the scene and took him into custody.
North Londonderry Township
Disorderly conduct – At 10:33 a.m. Sept. 12, police responded to the Palmyra Area High School and conducted an investigation regarding a student making threats against the school during class. Police charged a 15-year-old Palmyra female with disorderly conduct.
Hit-and-run crash – Police responded to a hit-and-run that occurred overnight on Sept. 27 on the 00 block of Oatfield Lane. A vehicle damaged a mailbox and shrubbery. The vehicle’s plastic wheel well cover was located on the scene along with other identifying parts. Police identified the striking vehicle as a 2018-20 Volkswagen Tiguan. The vehicle will have front passenger’s side damage to the bumper and front panel. Anyone with any information is asked to contact North Londonderry Township Police at 717-838-5276.
Vehicle accident – At 4:30 p.m. Sept. 29, a vehicle driven by a 39-year-old Palmyra man rear-ended a vehicle driven by a 28-year-old Lebanon woman, causing minor damage, at the Walmart entrance on Main Street. Police charged the woman with an expired registration.
Vehicle accident – At 10:07 a.m. Oct. 2, police responded to a two-vehicle crash at South Forge Road and Buttonwood Street. A witness told police that a vehicle driven by an 87-year-old Palmyra woman did not stop for the stop sign on Buttonwood Street and entered the intersection, where her vehicle collided with a northbound vehicle driven by a 37-year-old Palmyra woman. Life Lion EMS treated the 87-year-old woman on the scene for minor injuries sustained from airbag deployment. EMS also treated one of the four juvenile passengers in the 37-year-old woman’s vehicle for a minor injury. Citizens Fire Company No. 1 in Palmyra assisted on the scene.
Union Township
Drug possession – At 8:09 p.m. July 29, police pulled over a 1999 Mercury on the 400 block of Jonestown Road and found that Ryan Houser, 38, of Lebanon, was in possession of a controlled substance.
Western Lebanon County Regional
Driving while suspended – At 5:12 p.m. Sept. 10, police pulled over a vehicle on the 700 block of East Main Street in Palmyra for a suspended registration plate and identified the driver of the vehicle as Nelson Torres, 64, who had an expired and suspended driver’s license (DUI-related). Police learned that Torres had multiple previous (DUI-related) suspended driver’s license convictions and charged Torres with misdemeanor driving while suspended.
Scattering rubbish – On Sept. 13, police responded to the 100 block of West Queen Street in Annville Township for a juvenile smashing a glass bottle. Police filed a non-traffic citation against an 11-year-old boy, charging him with summary scattering rubbish.
Carrying a false identification card – At 12:03 a.m. Sept. 17, police were flagged down by staff at the Corvette Bar and Grille for a person attempting to use a fraudulent identification card. Police identified the 35-year-old subject and filed a non-traffic citation for summary carrying a false identification card.
Harassment – At 9:10 p.m. Sept. 18, police responded to the 400 block of East Main Street in Annville for a domestic disturbance, where a woman said her live-in child’s father, a 27-year-old man, assaulted her by throwing her around the bathroom after forcing open the door and ransacking multiple rooms. The subject fled the scene prior to police arrival and could not be located. On Sept. 19, police filed a non-traffic citation against the man for summary harassment.
Bench warrant served – At 10:11 a.m. Sept. 25, police located Nancy Metz, 55, in the Palmyra Shopping Center parking lot. Metz was known to have a bench warrant out of Dauphin County for misdemeanor defiant trespass. Police arrested Metz on the warrant and transported her to LCCB.
Terroristic threats, loitering and prowling at night – On Sept. 30, police arrested Scott Wilson, 55, on the 100 block of Palm City Park for crimes including two counts of misdemeanor terroristic threats, misdemeanor stalking, misdemeanor criminal mischief, misdemeanor loitering and prowling at night, misdemeanor harassment by communication, and summary harassment. Charges are the result of an investigation into Wilson being accused of threatening two subjects, electronically monitoring the whereabouts of and repeatedly circling the residence of one of the subjects, and damaging the tires of one of the subjects on multiple occasions. Wilson was arraigned on Oct. 1 by MDJ Wolfe with bail set at $25,000. He was transferred to LCCF.
Looking to identify – Western Lebanon County Regional Police are trying to identify the three individuals pictured below who are persons of interest in an incident that occurred around 5:11 p.m. Sept. 26. Unspecified municipality
Vehicle pursuit – On Sept. 29, multiple PSP and local police agencies were involved in a vehicle pursuit with a suicidal subject, Paul Witman Jr., 30, of York, who had an active arrest warrant for multiple domestic violence charges. Around 5 p.m. Sept. 29, PSP Jonestown located the vehicle and attempted to conduct a traffic stop. Witman fled again and struck an embankment. Police unsuccessfully attempted a PIT maneuver, and Witman continued to flee, driving through a farm pasture where his vehicle was disabled on an electric fence wire. Witman exited the vehicle and held a pistol to his head while being given verbal commands to drop it. PSP Sert and multiple local departments arrived and assisted on the scene. Members were able to talk Witman down, and he eventually dropped the pistol and was taken into custody without further incident.
