Motorists can expect some delays during an inspection of the Lickdale Road bridge over Interstate 78 in Swatara Township on Thursday.

The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation announced the inspection in an email on Tuesday. The bridge spans the interstate between mile markers 3.9 and 3.7, about 3 miles east of I-81.

Weather permitting, the inspection will be performed from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Lickdale Road, also known as Route 1020, northeast of Jonestown. There will be right lane restrictions on eastbound and westbound I-78 during work hours.

Travelers are reminded to be alert for these operations, to obey work zone signs, and to use caution when driving through work zones for their safety and the safety of the inspection crews.
