Discover how to turn your backyard into a haven for birds at the upcoming “Birds in Your Backyard: Native Plants, Feeders & More” workshop, hosted by the Penn State Extension Master Gardeners of Lebanon County in partnership with the Quittapahilla Audubon Society.
This engaging in-person event will take place on Monday, October 27, 2025, at 7:00 p.m. at the Lebanon Valley Agricultural Center (2120 Cornwall Rd Suite #1).
Whether you’re a seasoned gardener or just beginning your journey into backyard habitat creation, this workshop offers practical tips and expert advice to help you attract and support local bird populations.
Participants will learn:
- Which native plants are best for attracting birds
- What bird species are commonly seen in South Central Pennsylvania
- How to choose the right feeders and bird seed to welcome feathered visitors
Attendees will also have the chance to win exciting door prizes, including a bluebird box, a bird feeder, and bird seed.
