A group of veterans and active-duty servicemen took part in the fourth annual Veterans Hunt co-sponsored by Greater Lebanon Refuse Authority and the National Wild Turkey Federation, Blue Mountain Chapter, earlier this month.

With eight participants, this was the highest turnout in the annual event to date, GLRA executive director Skip Garner said in an email. Seven GLRA employees helped with the event, and Heisey’s Diner provided lunch, he added.

Participating were Tyler Patterson, active-duty, Air Force; Jamie Byrd, Coast Guard; Jason Robbins, Air Force; George Rautzhan, Air Force, Gulf Wars; Lebard Sattazahn, Army, Vietnam War; James Leach, Marine Corps, Vietnam; Rick Civitarese, Army; and Greg Hess, Army.
