Lebanon Valley Council on the Arts is pleased to announce that the November 7th First Friday Art Walk will feature The Lebanon Valley Conservancy with a nature themed exhibit, Celebrate the Seasons.

Visit Lebanon Valley will be sharing their annual photo contest winners and Nat Woodhouse will be singing and playing acoustic guitar.

The event runs from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at 770 Cumberland Street.

There will be art for sale and gifts such as mugs, earrings, cards, and pottery pieces.

“This exhibit is the perfect opportunity to pick out a unique gift for someone special or to get started on your holiday shopping,” said Courtney Reimann, LVCA board member.

Featured artists in Celebrate the Seasons are Lois Weiner, Karen Beall, Gail Savage, and Joyce Carpenter Blouch. The art includes watercolor and acrylic paintings, ceramics, photography, and mosaic and mixed media art pieces.

“This exhibit features a treasure for everyone, and we’re looking forward to seeing you,” said Sharon Zook, LVCA Board President. “Reflecting on the 50-year history of Lebanon’s council for the arts, our community has shown generous support of our local artists and artisans.”

Abigail Harvey, TLVC Executive Director, added, “This event will close out a year of celebrating our 25th Anniversary. We’re already looking forward to next year, with a benefit dinner planned for February.”

The Lebanon Valley Conservancy is an environmental organization that focuses on saving farmed and forested land from development. TLVC is also active in the community with planting trees in the fall, stream restoration projects, and an annual scholarship. TLVC will have a photo and informational exhibit and Sustainability Fair posters will be on display.

LVCA will have our annual Member’s Show in December with music from Lebanon favorite, musician Matt Miskie. A legacy exhibit of artwork by the late board member Angela Funk, will be specially selected by her family for public exhibition. Also, new pieces by Kurt Moessner will feature detailed colored pencil artwork inspired by Dutch artist Jan Van Eyck and other Renaissance masters.

February will have the Lebanon Branch of NAACP and a Black History Month Exhibit.

Our March exhibit showcases student art from the Cornwall Lebanon School District and April features art from Lebanon High School.

First Friday Art Walk is the first Friday of every month from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Find the art walk map on our Facebook page to discover the many venues to engage with art, create your own art, eat dinner or share drinks, and listen to music in Downtown Lebanon, Mount Gretna, and the Lebanon Valley Mall.
