Bethel Township

Criminal mischief $1,000+ – At 6:04 a.m. Oct. 24, police responded to the 500 block of Chestnut Hill Road where, sometime during the overnight hours on Oct. 16, an unknown subject used a pellet gun to shoot the radiator of a blue 2013 Toyota Camry owned by a 35-year-old Lebanon man while it was parked at the man’s workplace. Police discovered two holes in the Toyota’s front bumper consistent with damage from a pellet. No surveillance camera footage of the incident was available. Anyone with information regarding the incident is asked to contact PSP Jonestown.

City of Lebanon

Open lewdness, disorderly conduct – On Oct. 28, police charged Danny Quiles, 51, with open lewdness and disorderly conduct after an incident at 4 p.m. Oct. 14 on the 300 block of Old North 9th Street.

Simple assault, harassment – On Oct. 28, police charged Quentin Rivera, 19, with simple assault (domestic violence-related) and harassment after responding to a physical domestic at 4:27 p.m. Oct. 28 on the 500 block of Bollman Street.

Promotions – The Lebanon City Police Department is proud to announce the promotion of Chief Eric Sims and Captain Sean Buck. The police department said that Chief Sims has faithfully served the city for 20 years and Captain Buck for 14 years — both bringing strong leadership, dedication, and a passion for community service. The police department looks forward to the continued positive impact they’ll make as they lead the police department into the future.

Increased beard sightings in Lebanon – If you see an officer looking extra scruffy during the month of November, don’t worry, it’s for a good cause! During the month of November, officers from the Lebanon City Police Department will be permitted to grow their facial hair as a symbol of solidarity with those affected by cancer. This initiative aims to promote a conversation about cancer and the importance of early detection, while also supporting those who have been impacted by the disease. All of the police department’s No Shave November donations will be donated to the WellSpan Sechler Family Cancer Center.

East Hanover Township

Vehicle accident – At 6:03 a.m. Sept. 27, a 2010 Toyota Corolla driven by a 19-year-old Mechanicsburg man was traveling east on Allentown Boulevard when the driver lost control of the vehicle and it struck a guide rail on the right shoulder at Picnic Woods Road. The driver was wearing a seatbelt and sustained no injuries. The Toyota sustained front-end damage and was towed from the scene by Doug’s Transport.

Heidelberg Township

Vehicle accident – At 12:49 a.m. Oct. 21, a 2011 Toyota RAV4 was traveling south on State Route 501 South, just north of Mountain Trail Road, when it struck a deer. No injuries were reported. The Toyota sustained minor front-end damage but was driven from the scene.

Vehicle accident, driving on roadways laned for traffic – At 3:51 p.m. Oct. 23, a 2006 Toyota Sienna driven by a 21-year-old Reading man, accompanied by a 55-year-old Reading man, a 53-year-old Reading woman, a 31-year-old Reading woman, and a 48-year-old Blandon woman, was traveling east on SR 897, west of Chapel Road. The Toyota failed to negotiate a left curve and exited the road to the right, striking a utility pole, continuing down a small embankment, and catching fire as the occupants exited the vehicle. All occupants were wearing seatbelts. The driver and a passenger were evaluated on the scene and refused further medical evaluation. Three passengers sustained suspected minor injuries and were transported to Reading Hospital. The Toyota sustained disabling damage and was towed. Police charged the driver with driving on roadways laned for traffic.

Jackson Township

DUI crash – At 1:02 a.m. Oct. 10, a 2015 Honda Civic driven by Xavier Cunkle, 21, of Myerstown, was traveling on South Fairlane Avenue, north of King Street, while Cunkle was under the influence of alcoholic beverages. The Honda struck a bridge on the left side of the road. Cunkle was wearing a seatbelt and sustained a suspected minor injury but refused transport. The Honda sustained disabling damage and was towed from the scene. Police charged Cunkle with DUI-unsafe driving.

Vehicle accident, following too closely – At 3:03 p.m. Oct. 17, a 2015 Porsche Cayenne driven by a 36-year-old Parrish, Florida, man, accompanied by a 40-year-old Parrish woman, was tailgating a 2010 Ford Explorer driven by a 38-year-old Pine Grove woman on East Lincoln Avenue. The Ford attempted to make a right turn and was struck by the Porsche. All occupants were wearing seatbelts and sustained no injuries. The Porsche was towed from the scene. The Ford was driven from the scene. Police charged the Florida man with following too closely and charged the Pine Grove woman with turning movements and required signals.

Vehicle accident, failure to yield at yield sign – At 5:30 p.m. Oct. 17, a 2013 Volvo XC60 driven by a 19-year-old Myerstown woman was stopped at a stop sign at ELCO Drive and South College Street. A 2020 Isuzu driven by a 42-year-old Myerstown man was traveling north, using its turn signal. The Volvo did not yield the right-of-way and struck the Isuzu. Both drivers were wearing seatbelts and sustained no injuries. Both vehicles were towed from the scene by RJ Sells. Police charged the woman with failure to yield at yield sign. Keystone Hook and Ladder assisted on the scene.

DUI – At 3:40 p.m. Oct. 21, a Motor Carrier Safety Assistance Program inspection was conducted on a truck tractor and semi-trailer on South Ramona Road for traveling over a posted 20,000 pounds weight-restricted bridge. The combination weighed in at 76,480 pounds. Police determined that the driver, David Beaman Jr., 44, of Phillipsburg, New Jersey, was under the influence of alcoholic beverages. Police arrested Beaman and released him after chemical testing. Charges are pending.

Vehicle accident, driving on roadways laned for traffic – At 2:13 p.m. Oct. 23, a 2003 Toyota RAV4 was traveling east on King Street, west of South Ramona Road, when the driver noticed a commercial vehicle turning left in front of it. The Toyota exited the road to avoid striking the commercial vehicle and instead struck two mailboxes. No injuries were reported. The Toyota sustained functional damage. Police charged the driver of the Toyota with driving on roadways laned for traffic.

Jonestown Borough

Hit-and-run – A hit-and-run crash occurred on the 00 block of South Lancaster Street between midnight and 10:59 a.m. on Oct. 19. A 2010 BMW X5 was parked facing north on the 00 block of South Lancaster Street when an unknown vehicle made contact with its front driver’s side corner, causing a white paint transfer.

Vehicle accident – At 6:09 a.m. Oct. 29, a 2017 Toyota Corolla was traveling south on South Lancaster Street, approaching Creek Street, when it struck a deer. No injuries were reported. The Toyota sustained damage to its front bumper and hood.

Lebanon County Regional

DUI, driving while suspended – On July 3, police received a call for a crash with injuries on the 1900 block of Water Street, where a motorcycle had left the road and crashed into a field. The investigation revealed that the driver, Nelson Torres, 65, was under the influence of a controlled substance. Police also found that Torres had a suspended license in relation to a DUI charge with two or more prior convictions for driving while suspended. Police charged Torres with misdemeanor DUI-controlled substance, misdemeanor DUI-alcohol or controlled substance, misdemeanor driving while suspended, DUI-related, third or subsequent violation, and summary driving on roadways laned for traffic.

Illegally operating a vehicle not equipped with an ignition interlock – At 9:05 a.m. Oct. 17, police pulled over a vehicle on the 1600 block of West Cumberland Street for a traffic offense. The investigation revealed that Logan Curry, 37, was operating a vehicle not equipped with an ignition interlock with a suspended license in relation to a DUI charge. Police charged Curry with misdemeanor illegally operating a vehicle not equipped with an ignition interlock, summary driving while suspended, and summary registration and certificate of title required.

Officer Coyt graduates D.A.R.E. education – On Oct. 31, Chief Knight and Corporal Himmelberger attended the D.A.R.E. (Drug Abuse Resistance Education) graduation for Officer Coyt. Officer Coyt will now serve as the Lebanon County Regional Police Department’s D.A.R.E. education to Ebenezer and Union Canal elementary schools, teaching fifth-grade students about the importance of preventing drug and alcohol misuse, gang membership, and violence. Congratulations, Officer Coyt!

North Londonderry Township

Careless driving – At 3:15 p.m. Oct. 27, a 20-year-old Fredericksburg man fell asleep at the wheel in the area of Main Street and Spruce Court, and his vehicle struck a curb and street sign. His vehicle sustained disabling damage and was towed from the scene. Police charged the man with summary driving while suspended and summary careless driving.

Careless driving – At 1:47 p.m. Oct. 28, a 70-year-old Palmyra woman drove off the road on the 300 block of Wheatstone Drive and struck a mailbox and a tree. Her vehicle was towed from the scene. Police charged the woman with summary careless driving.

Richland Borough

Vehicle accident – At 1:17 a.m. Oct. 15, a 1994 Jeep Grand Cherokee driven by a 35-year-old Richland man was traveling west on the 00 block of West Main Street when it struck a utility pole. The driver was wearing a seatbelt and sustained no injuries. The Jeep sustained disabling damage. Police charged the driver with driving on roadways laned for traffic.

Vehicle accident – At 7:18 p.m. Oct. 26, a 2012 Hyundai Sonata driven by a 33-year-old Newmanstown woman was traveling south on the 200 block of East Main Street and exited the right lane, striking a 2020 Ford Explorer, which was parked along the street. The driver was not wearing a seatbelt and sustained no injuries. Both vehicles sustained disabling damage and were towed from the scene.

South Lebanon Township

DUI, reckless driving, underage drinking – Around 2:33 a.m. Aug. 13, police pulled over a vehicle along East Cumberland Street in Lebanon and learned that the driver, Vladislav Kudlanov, 19, was under the influence of alcoholic beverages. Kudlanov’s BAC was 0.214% at the time of the traffic stop. Police charged Kudlanov with misdemeanor DUI-minors, misdemeanor DUI-incapable of safe driving, misdemeanor DUI-highest rate, summary reckless driving, and summary underage drinking.

Drug possession – On Aug. 25, police pulled over a vehicle along East Cumberland Street in Lebanon and learned that an occupant of the vehicle, Gage Gibson, 22, was in possession of a controlled substance. Police charged Gibson with misdemeanor possession of a small amount of marijuana and summary operating a vehicle without valid inspection.

DUI – Around 10:57 p.m. Sept. 29, police pulled over a vehicle along South Lincoln Avenue in Lebanon and learned that the driver, Wendell Dove Sr., 54, was under the influence of alcoholic beverages. Dove’s BAC was 0.134% at the time of the traffic stop. Police charged Dove with misdemeanor DUI-incapable of safe driving, misdemeanor DUI-high rate, summary maximum speed limits, and summary driving on right side of roadway.

DUI – Around 8:52 p.m. Oct. 2, police responded to a crash on the 700 block of State Drive in Lebanon and learned that the driver of the striking vehicle, Donald Reist, 69, was under the influence of alcoholic beverages. Reist’s BAC was 0.220% at the time of the crash. Police charged Reist with misdemeanor DUI-incapable of safe driving and misdemeanor DUI-highest rate of alcohol, second offense.

Simple assault, harassment – Around 6:34 a.m. Oct. 25, police responded to the 700 block of Fox Ridge Lane in Lebanon for a domestic dispute and learned that Chariou Louis, 41, caused an injury to another person inside the home. Police took Louis into custody and charged him with misdemeanor simple assault (domestic violence-related) and summary harassment.

Criminal trespass – Around 11:59 p.m. Oct. 27, during routine patrol, police noticed suspicious conditions at a home on the 100 block of South Fifth Avenue in Lebanon. During the investigation, police learned that Quirino Madrigal, 36, was inside the residence, which had been previously posted with No Trespassing signs. Police took Madrigal into custody and charged him with felony criminal trespass.

Western Lebanon County Regional

DUI, immediate notice of accident to police – At 9:49 p.m. Oct. 13, police were called to the 400 block of Spruce Street in Annville for reports of a crash. Police found a vehicle with severe front-end damage that had left the road. Police identified the driver as Kash Jordan, 41, found him to be intoxicated, and arrested him for DUI, although he later refused a blood draw. Police charged Jordan with misdemeanor DUI-incapable of safe driving, second offense, summary driving at safe speed, summary careless driving, and summary immediate notice of accident to police.

Found dog – At 11:37 p.m. Nov. 1, police responded to a loose dog in the area of South Lincoln Street in Palmyra. Police located the black adult male Labrador/shepherd dog wearing a grey and blue collar with a fish pattern. No tags were on the collar, and no chip was located on the dog. The dog was taken to the Humane Society in Myerstown. Contact Western Lebanon County Regional Police if you recognize this dog.

Liquor citation – Isaac’s Craft Kitchen & Brewery, 119 Springwood Drive, Lebanon, was cited by the Pennsylvania State Police Bureau of Liquor Control Enforcement, Harrisburg District Enforcement Office, in October. The establishment offered and/or gave things of value as an inducement to purchase liquor and/or malt or brewed beverages in violation of Section 445(c) of the Liquor Code. The establishment also failed to file all required monthly reports for the months of January, February, March, and April of 2025 in violation of Section 445(c) of the Liquor Code.
