Northbound motorists on Interstate 81 can expect daytime lane restrictions on two days next week while PennDOT inspects a bridge spanning the Swatara Creek/Route 72, about 2 miles north of exit 90.

The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation said the work will be performed, weather permitting, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday and Tuesday, Nov. 17-18. One travel lane will remain open each day.

PennDOT said inspectors plan to inspect the bridge using an inspection crane from the roadway. Travelers are reminded to be alert for workers on the highway, to obey work zone signs, and to use caution when driving through work zones.
