The Lebanon County Suicide Prevention Task Force will host its annual Remembrance Ceremony on Thursday, December 4, 2025, from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. at the Mansion at 5th located at 450 Cumberland Street, Lebanon.

The Task Force has been hosting a remembrance ceremony for over 20 years.

“The remembrance ceremony holds deep significance as it offers support to individuals mourning the loss of a loved one to suicide,” said Kasey Felty, a Task Force member.

“Cherished memories play a vital role in our lives and can be a powerful part of the healing journey. Our hope is that this ceremony provides a safe and compassionate space for individuals to grieve. While all loss is painful, the grief that follows a suicide can carry unique and complex emotions. By coming together in remembrance, we aim to ensure that no one has to face their grief in isolation—and that they find solace in the enduring presence of love and memory”.

The Task Force invites anyone who has experienced loss from a suicide to attend the ceremony. Although registration is not required, in order to adequately plan for the evening, please visit our website to add your name as an attendee.

“The holidays can be an especially difficult time when grieving loss,” said Skyler Deitrick, Co-Chair of the Task Force. “Our hope for the Remembrance Ceremony is that it offers a supportive space where those who have experienced similar losses can grieve together, find solace, and draw strength from one another during these challenging times. When we connect as a community, we create a healthy support system for healing and ensure no one feels alone in their struggles.”

The Lebanon County Suicide Prevention Task Force, an initiative of The Community Health Council of Lebanon County, meets monthly to develop strategies to reduce the risk of suicide. Through collaborative efforts the Task Force offers education, training and events to the community throughout the year. A Loss Support Group is offered on the 3rd Thursday of each month from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m.
