LebTown features a different Lebanon County pet each Friday to help us enter the weekend with the best vibes possible.
The Pet of the Week sometimes features a local furbaby who already lives in a happy Lebanon County home. Other times the column spotlights an animal that’s available for adoption through a local shelter and is seeking a forever family.
This week, meet adoptable Kara!

Kara was abandoned when her previous owners were evicted from their home, according to Pitties.Love.Peace rep Mika Stiefel.
Estimated to be about 4 years old, she is “sweet, silly, playful” and “loves to go for car rides.” Although she can be timid in new situations, Mika says, she is always happy to snuggle her humans.
She is food-motivated and eager to please, crate-trained and housebroken, and dog-friendly with appropriate introductions; cats are an unknown, she says, but can be tested for a suitable applicant. Although “human affection is her main focus,” Mika adds, “entertaining herself with toys is her favorite.”
