LebTown features a different Lebanon County pet each Friday to help us enter the weekend with the best vibes possible.
Our Pet of the Week sometimes is a local furbaby who already lives in a happy Lebanon County home. Other times the weekly column will spotlight an animal that’s available for adoption through a local shelter and is seeking a forever family.
This week, meet adoptable Coal!
“He found his way to us as a stray and was not reclaimed,” a shelter rep at the Humane Society of Lebanon County told LebTown.
“He is a friendly pup that warms up to new friends quickly! He loves affection and pets from his human friends,” the rep said. “Coal loves all kinds of treats and is very snack motivated! He knows the ‘sit’ command, too!”
Coal is a Labrador retriever mix, estimated to be around 9 or 10 months old. Given his age, it’s no surprise that he’s very puppy-like and enjoys an active lifestyle!
“He LOVES stuffy toys the most! Any toy that squeaks that he can chase after, he loves!” the shelter rep said. “Coal is a fun, happy-go-lucky dog that is looking for a family that he can entertain! He would do well with children aged 8 and older. Coal does well with other dogs! A meet and greet with other dogs in the home would take place at the shelter to ensure it is a good match.”
If you are interested in adopting Coal, please fill out the adoption application online at lebanonhumane.org or call the Humane Society at 717-628-1369 for more information.
