Students are invited to reflect on the values that define their identity, influence our shared social fabric, and give meaning to human existence.
In a time marked by rapid technological change, social isolation, and political fragmentation, the conference encourages thoughtful dialogue about intentional living, ethical decision-making, and the pursuit of the common good. Attendees will engage with enduring questions such as: What does it mean to be human, and how should we live in an increasingly complex world? While this conference will be student-led (students will be presenting their own work), we welcome all who are passionate about inquiry, reflection, and the examined life to attend.

Learn How to Spin on a Spinning Wheel with Margi Wright at Isaac Meier Homestead
$25.00 | 12-3 p.m., Saturday, March 28 | 525 S. College St., Myerstown
Imagine a time when everything you owned, from undergarments to table linens, had to be handmade. There were no shops to buy your clothes from. Animals and plants, flax and sheep wool specifically, were most commonly used during this time to make these items.
This class is the third in our Sheepy Series, where you will learn this age-old process from start to finish. Learn how to clean fleece, prepare it for spinning, first spin it on a drop spindle, and then spin it on a spinning wheel. Learn how to dye this beautiful fiber using natural dyes over an open fire. With these dyed fibers, you will learn to warp a loom and weave items.
Experience the sense of pride, accomplishment, and the tugging of the past by joining us in this endeavour. Here’s what you can expect:
– You will learn how to set up a spinning wheel and how it functions.
– You will learn how to take fiber that has been prepared and spin it onto the wheel and take it off the bobbin.
Bring your own spinning wheel. We do have two spinning wheels available for rent for $10.00 if needed. Request the rental when booking your ticket for the class. Tickets are $25.00 per person, with a maximum of five people. Please send Isaac Meier Homestead a message to register!

Join the Lebanon City Police Department and its community to walk and honor Lt. William Lebo during its annual “Umbrella Walk.” The Umbrella Walk is not just a tribute to him but also a celebration of the police profession and all who take the oath to serve and protect. Join the police department as it walks in remembrance, respect, and gratitude.
The walk from Optimist Memorial Park to the police station replicated the walk taken for more than 40 years by Lt. William Lebo. Lebanon Police Chief Bret Fisher created the Umbrella Walk to honor Lebo’s unique tradition of walking to work every day with an umbrella, just in case it rained.
All proceeds benefit scholarships and projects aimed at strengthening the Lebanon community. Why the umbrella? Rain or shine, Lt. Lebo walked to work every day, carrying the same green and white golf umbrella—one placed by the back door at home, another at the police station. It was more than just shelter from the elements; it was a symbol of his dedication, preparation, and quiet reflection. Those umbrellas remain by the doors today… just in case. Lt. Lebo dedicated 40 years to the City of Lebanon, serving with honor, love, and devotion.
Umbrellas will be available for sale. Compact are $25.00, and golf umbrellas are $40.00.
