6 – 501.111 Controlling Pests
Food facility inspection indicated evidence of insect activity, and the PIC said cockroaches were present and pesticide was being used in the prep areas. The pesticide shall be applied by a licensed applicator in order to be compliant with the laws of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. Pesticide remains along the exterior wall in the rear of the facility. This topic was reviewed with the PIC and the owner of the building.
Potential rodent and insect harborage areas on the exterior of the building perimeter were observed around the rear door due to garbage and other debris in the area. Note: Some rubbish and debris were removed since the March 26, 2026, inspection; however, several items of rubbish and other debris remained on the premises.
3 – 501.17 Ready-to-Eat, Time/Temperature Control for Safety Food, Date-Marking
Potentially hazardous ready-to-eat food prepared in the food facility and held for more than 48 hours, located in the prep area, is not being date-marked. No items in the facility were dated. After the previous inspection, the owner of the building had acquired date labels for the PIC; however, the PIC had not opened the package by the time of this inspection.
4 – 501.114 Mechanical or Manual Warewashing Equipment, Chemical Sanitization
The sanitizer in the three-compartment sink was not at the correct concentration.

PIC did not have the required certification.
6 – 301.11 Handwashing Cleanser, Availability
Soap was not available at the handwash sink in the prep area. Not corrected from the March 26, 2026, inspection.
