Supporters (and detractors) took the opportunity to setup signs outside Lebanon City Hall.

The Candidates Night Forum was moderated by LebTown county reporter James Mentzer, left, and Seven Mountains Media news director Laura LeBeau.

The forum followed a modified presidential debate format, with opportunities for pre-written opening and closing remarks and timed segments on a variety of topics in between. Topics covered included property tax reform, growth and housing in Lebanon County, data centers, mental health crisis/funding, redistricting, public scrutiny and negative ads, and the state budget, among others.

The Dixon Council Chamber/multi-purpose room at Lebanon City Hall was mostly full for the forum, with Lebanon city police providing security and Mayor Sherry Capello assisting event organizers with conducting a successful forum in the city’s space.

Lebanon County election officials say preparations for the May 19 primary are on track, with early voting open through May 12 and polls set to open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Election Day.
