The Lebanon County Choral Society will perform their main spring concert, featuring Parts II and III of Handel’s Messiah, on Sunday, May 17, 2026, at 3:00 p.m., at Annville Church of the Brethren, 495 E. Maple St., Annville. Artistic director Sean Hackett will conduct the choral society’s Adult Chorus, and Gretchen Patti will conduct the Youth Chorus. A chamber orchestra will join the choirs for this performance.

“It’s been a fantastic season so far,” said Hackett. “The chorus has so many new members, and there is just a lot of musicality and comradery in the group this year. I can’t wait to hear it all come together.”

Tickets for the concert are available on the choral society’s website, www.LCCSmusic.org, at a preorder rate of $15 ($3 for students). If this event does not sell out, tickets will be sold at the door for $18.

The Youth Chorus, made up of singers in grades 3 through 8, will perform their spring repertoire in a separate concert, in addition to being part of the May 17 concert.

This youth concert will take place on Friday, May 1, at 6:00 p.m., at St. Luke’s Episcopal Church, 22 S. 6th St., Lebanon, as part of the Lebanon Valley Council on the Arts First Friday Art Walk. This event is free and open to the public.

Interested singers are invited to learn more about joining the ensemble for the fall 2026 season by contacting the choral society at managementLCCS@gmail.com. Rehearsals will be held at St. Luke’s Episcopal Church in Lebanon on Monday evenings beginning September 14.

Originally founded in 1889, the Lebanon County Choral Society was reorganized in 1974. In the past decades they have expanded their mission to include a youth chorus, a free music day camp, and a young conductors’ program, all while continuing and enhancing the legacy of excellent choral performances by the adult chorus, the foundation of the organization. While centered in Lebanon County, the group includes singers from as far as Robesonia, Mt. Gretna, Palmyra, and Hershey.
