The South Lebanon Township Board of Supervisors on Tuesday unanimously approved an $852,515 contract with Allgyer Enterprises to connect about 35 homes in Meadowview Estates to public sewer lines.
Though Meadowview Estates was built in the 1970s or ’80s, some of its homes have never been connected to public sewers, said township manager Jamie Yiengst.
Allgyer Enterprises, of Womelsdorf, outbid Anrich Inc.’s $948,885 bid, Pact One LLC’s $982,000 bid, and three other firms with bids each over $1 million.
The board also approved by 3-0 vote a request by Burkholder Tractor & Equipment to reduce the company’s construction bond from $1.1 million to $655,100. The used tractor and equipment seller requested the $451,000 bond reduction after successfully completing improvements, including stormwater mitigation, at its new building on State Drive and Route 419, Yiengst told LebTown.
