Bethel Township
Vehicle accident – At 6:15 a.m. May 18, a 2019 Honda HRV driven by a 52-year-old Newmanstown man was northbound on South Pine Grove Street when a westbound 2025 Kia Sportage driven by a 28-year-old Harrisburg man on Shirksville Road failed to stop at the stop sign. The Honda struck the Kia as it entered the intersection. Neither driver was wearing a seatbelt nor sustained injuries. Both vehicles were towed from the scene by Motter’s Towing. Police charged the 28-year-old with duties at a stop sign.
Vehicle accident – At 3:03 p.m. June 8, a 2015 Ford F-150XLT driven by a 39-year-old Jonestown woman was traveling east on Route 22 when the Ford failed to stop at the intersection for a steady red light. A 2023 Chevrolet Silverado driven by a 78-year-old Lebanon man was traveling north on Blue Mountain Road when the Ford crashed into the Chevrolet. The woman was wearing a seatbelt and sustained no injuries. The man was wearing a seatbelt and sustained a suspected minor injury, but was not transported. Both vehicles were disabled and towed from the scene by Motter’s Towing. Life Lion EMS and Fredericksburg Fire Company assisted on the scene.
Vehicle accident – At 4 p.m. June 10, a 2013 Subaru Impreza driven by a 22-year-old Harrisburg woman was traveling in the right lane on Route 22 at School Drive when the Subaru struck standing water on the road due to heavy rain. The woman lost control of the Subaru and struck a tree along the road. The woman was wearing a seatbelt and sustained a suspected minor injury, but was not transported.
Trespass – At 3:30 p.m. June 11, police responded to a property on Blue Mountain Road and charged a 39-year-old Fredericksburg man with summary trespass.
DUI crash – At 3:21 a.m. June 14, a 2011 Chevrolet Tahoe driven by a 19-year-old Lebanon man was traveling south on South Pine Grove Street. The man had been drinking and fell asleep. The Chevrolet traveled across the street and struck a guide rail. No injuries were reported. Police took the man into custody for DUI and charged him with driving on roadways laned for traffic.
City of Lebanon
Retail theft – Police charged Melissa Houser, 49, with retail theft after an incident at around 7 a.m. March 1 on the 800 block of Quentin Road.
DUI – Police charged Edward Martinez, 32, with DUI after a traffic incident at around 8:30 p.m. May 17 on the 300 block of Lehman Street.
Hit-and-run – Police charged Michael Johnson, 59, with hit-and-run after a crash at around 7:30 a.m. May 27 on the 1200 block of Willow Street.
Simple assault, disorderly conduct – Police charged Isiah Aponte, 19, with simple assault (domestic violence-related), public drunkenness, and disorderly conduct after an incident at around 6:45 a.m. June 14 on the 200 block of South 4th Street.
Simple assault – Police charged Isaiah Samsel, 27, with simple assault after an incident at around 8:30 a.m. June 19 on the 200 block of East Weidman Street.
Unauthorized use of a motor vehicle – Police charged Joseph Hewitt, 38, with unauthorized use of a motor vehicle and driving while suspended after a traffic incident at around 2:30 a.m. June 20 on the 100 block of East Lehman Street.
Simple assault – Police charged Antonio Howell, 29, with simple assault (domestic violence-related) after a domestic disturbance call at around 4:45 p.m. June 20 on the 700 block of Lehman Street.
DUI, driving upon sidewalk – Police charged Esmerly Abreu Aracena, 20, with DUI and driving upon sidewalk after an incident at around 4 a.m. March 15 in the area of 9th and Mifflin streets.
Simple assault – Police charged Austin Davis, 23, with simple assault (domestic violence-related) after a domestic disturbance at around 8 p.m. June 24 in the area of Lebanon Village.
Big welcome to new hires – Please join the Lebanon City Police Department in welcoming four new hires – Shawn Simpson, Jahdiel Molina Rodriguez, Enrique Hidalgo, and Matthew Raub – as they begin the Harrisburg Area Community College Police Academy on July 6 to complete their Act 120 training!

Pennsylvania State Police Bureau of Liquor Control Enforcement – Rescue Hose Company No. 4, 1920 W. Lehman St., Lebanon, was cited by the Pennsylvania State Police Bureau of Liquor Control Enforcement, Harrisburg District Enforcement Office, in June. The establishment failed to maintain all flares, in violation of Section 328.103 of the Local Option Small Games of Chance Act and Section 901.734(2) of the Department of Revenue Regulations, 61 PA Code; and failed to operate small games of chance in conformity with the Small Games of Chance Act and Title 61 of the Pennsylvania Code in that it failed to maintain all flares, in violation of Section 471 of the Liquor Code, Section 328.103 of the Local Option Small Games of Chance Act, and Section 901.734(2) of the Department of Revenue Regulations, 61 PA Code.
Jackson Township
Vehicle accident – At 6:57 a.m. June 24, a 2004 Volkswagen Jetta driven by a 33-year-old Lebanon man was traveling east on King Street when a 2016 Buick Encore driven by an 82-year-old Womelsdorf woman made a left turn from a private driveway in front of the VW, and the vehicles collided. The woman was wearing a seatbelt, sustained a suspected minor injury, and was transported via Myerstown First Aid Unit to the hospital. The man was wearing a seatbelt and sustained no injuries. Both vehicles sustained disabling damage and were towed from the scene. Police charged the woman with turning movements and required signals.
Lebanon County Regional
Unsworn falsification to authorities, sale or transfer of firearms – Police charged David Lorek, 25, of Horsham, on allegations of making false statements to authorities and violations pertaining to the sale or transfer of firearms. This action stems from a thorough investigation by detectives following an incident at the Eagle Gun show, which took place at the Lebanon Expo Center, on Feb. 1, where Lorek attempted to acquire a handgun.
Illegally operating a motor vehicle not equipped with ignition interlock – Around 1:30 p.m. May 24, police pulled over a vehicle on the 900 block of Lantern Drive in Lebanon and determined that the driver, Paul Boltz, 56, was operating a vehicle not equipped with the required ignition interlock device while having a suspended driver’s license with an ignition interlock restriction. Police charged Boltz accordingly.
Harassment – Police charged a 37-year-old woman with summary harassment in connection with an incident on June 2 on the 1700 block of Center Street in North Cornwall Township, when police investigated a report of a physical confrontation between the woman and her daughter. Police said the daughter sustained a physical injury as a result of the confrontation.
Curfew violation – At 11:47 p.m. June 13, police charged a 16-year-old boy for violating the West Lebanon Township curfew ordinance at Rutter’s in West Lebanon Township. Police released the boy to a parent.
Bench warrant served – At 7:05 p.m. June 13, police responded to the 2000 block of Weavertown Road in North Lebanon Township for a medical assist. Police contacted Sandro Pagan-Marin, 29, confirmed that he had a warrant for his arrest out of the Lebanon County Sheriff’s Department, and transported him to LCCB on the warrant.
Noise violation – At 11:18 p.m. June 13, police made contact with a 46-year-old man at Rutter’s in West Lebanon Township regarding music being played at an unreasonable volume and charged him for violating a West Lebanon Township ordinance.
Bench warrant served – At 1:50 a.m. June 14, police located Alicia Hedges, 41, trespassing at Lions Lake in North Lebanon Township. Police found Hedges to have a bench warrant for her arrest out of the Susquehanna Township Police Department. Police transported Hedges to LCCB on the warrant.
Bench warrant served – At 11:58 p.m. June 18, police responded to the 1900 block of Jay Street in North Lebanon Township for a suspicious vehicle. Police made contact with Blake Strangarity, 34, found him to have several warrants for his arrest out of the Lebanon County Sheriff’s Department, and transported him to LCCB on the warrants.
Large gathering at Rutter’s leads to multiple arrests – On June 6, police responded to Rutter’s in West Lebanon Township after security there reported multiple people loitering at the business and refusing to leave. Police ordered Wilhelm Montalvo-March, Milagros Galarza, Alberto Laureano, and Juan Ruiz-Figueroa to leave after making their purchases. They defied orders to leave the premises or identify themselves.
Galarza actively resisted police efforts to obtain her identity and resisted arrest. Montalvo-March struck an officer’s hand away and shoved an officer in an attempt to interfere with Galarza’s arrest. He was also taken into custody. Police charged Montalvo-March with aggravated assault, resisting arrest, defiant trespass, and disorderly conduct. Police charged Galarza with resisting arrest and defiant trespass. Police charged Ruiz-Figueroa and Laureano with defiant trespass.
South Lebanon Township
DUI – Around 6:09 p.m. May 5, police responded to the 400 block of Schaeffer Road in Lebanon for a welfare check on a driver. Police found the vehicle running and in drive with the driver asleep behind the wheel. Police identified the driver as Jessica Nease, 37, and took her into custody for suspicion of DUI. A blood test revealed the presence of cocaine metabolites, fentanyl, norfentanyl, 4-ANPP, and buprenorphine. Police charged her with misdemeanor DUI-controlled substance, second offense.
Drug possession – On May 29, police pulled over a vehicle driven by Jonathan Pinero, 30, on the 500 block of East Cumberland Street in Lebanon and located about nine grams of marijuana inside the vehicle. The substance tested positive for marijuana. Police charged Pinero with misdemeanor possession of a small amount of marijuana.
Simple assault, disorderly conduct, harassment, criminal mischief – Around 3:20 a.m. June 16, police responded to a disturbance at a home on the 00 block of South 5th Avenue in Lebanon. Police said Gavyn Becker, 20, arrived at the residence following an earlier dispute and became involved in a physical altercation with multiple individuals. During the incident, Becker allegedly brandished a knife, assaulted two individuals, damaged personal property, and engaged in disorderly behavior. Police charged Becker with two counts of misdemeanor simple assault, misdemeanor disorderly conduct, two counts of summary harassment, and summary criminal mischief.
Swatara Township
Vehicle accident – At 12:21 p.m. May 18, a 2019 Honda CRV driven by a 41-year-old Reading man was traveling east on Route 22. A 2015 Chevrolet Silverado driven by a 33-year-old Jonestown woman was traveling north on North Lancaster Street. The Chevrolet pulled out from a stop sign in front of the Honda, and they collided. Both drivers were wearing seatbelts, sustained suspected minor injuries, and were transported via Life Lion EMS to Hershey Medical Center. Both vehicles were towed by Motter’s Towing. Police charged the woman with duties at a stop sign.
Vehicle accident – At 7:25 a.m. June 22, a 2012 Ford Escape was traveling south on North Poplar Street, attempting to turn left onto Walnut Street, when the driver drove the vehicle’s front right tire over a retaining wall. The driver was wearing a seatbelt and sustained no injuries. The Ford was not damaged and was driven from the scene. Police charged the driver with drivers required to be licensed and the vehicle’s owner for permitting the vehicle to be driven without insurance and by an unlicensed driver.
Union Township
Vehicle accident – At 9:38 p.m. June 5, a 2015 Nissan Altima driven by a 17-year-old Palmyra boy was traveling east on Monroe Valley Road when the Nissan failed to negotiate a left curve and struck a guide rail on the right shoulder. The boy was wearing a seatbelt and sustained no injuries. The Nissan was disabled. Police charged the boy with driving on roadways laned for traffic.
Western Lebanon County Regional
Disorderly conduct – At 9:12 p.m. June 9, police responded to Rutter’s in South Annville Township for a report of a juvenile displaying a firearm. Police located the 14-year-old boy and determined it was a realistic-looking BB gun with the safety features removed. Police charged the boy with misdemeanor disorderly conduct.
Drug possession – Around 12:56 a.m. June 11, police pulled over a vehicle on the 500 block of West North Avenue in Palmyra for failing to activate its front headlamps, identified the driver as Julianne Strickler, 24, and determined she was in possession of drug paraphernalia. Police charged Strickler with misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia and period for requiring lighted lamps.
