Weekend Forecast: Widespread storms Friday, pop-up storms possible Saturday

Good Friday afternoon!

Friday will feature a mix of sun and clouds. Dew points are currently in the lower 70s, with actual air temperatures in the lower 90s. Widespread thunderstorms are likely later this afternoon and early evening. A few storms may be strong to severe. Main concerns are gusty winds, very heavy rain, and vivid lightning.

Saturday, for Jono Hardware’s grand opening, will feature a mix of sun and clouds, with temperatures topping off near 90. A few stray pop-up thunderstorms are possible but will be very isolated in nature.

Sunday will feature the return of mostly sunny skies, with temperatures topping off in the upper 80s.

Starting Friday, Aug. 7, and running through Saturday, Aug. 8, Jono Hardware in Jonestown is throwing a huge grand opening weekend.

Here’s what’s in store:

• Vendor demos all weekend long
• Grilling demos throughout both days
• Food trucks on site
• A huge clearance section with some seriously discounted deals
• Giveaways all weekend long
