Runners and walkers will lace up in pink this fall as Making A Difference of Lebanon hosts its Breast Cancer Awareness 5K Fun Run & Walk at Coleman Memorial Park.

The event begins at 9 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 12, in the park at 1400 W. Maple St. Registration is $15 per participant and can be completed online.

Half of the proceeds will benefit the Pennsylvania Breast Cancer Coalition, a statewide advocacy group.

Organizers said the event is meant to raise awareness, honor survivors, remember those lost to the disease, and support people currently in treatment. Participants of all ages and fitness levels are welcome.

Attendees are encouraged to wear pink.
