Lewis Wayne Hodges passed away at Hershey Medical Center on August 23, 2020. He was born in Fayetteville, North Carolina on October 8, 1953. He is preceded in death by his father Charles Hodges, mother Helen Williams, and beloved stepfather Charles Williams.

Wayne, as he was called by family, is survived by his wife Sarah Hodges; his children: Matthew Shane Hodges, Noah Charles Hodges, and, from a previous marriage, Lewis Wayne (Deegen) Hodges and Tina Marie Hodges; sister Susan Travis-Paulsen (Lennard); niece Michelle Travis (Robert Demand); and great-nephew Charlie.

Wayne enlisted in the Army at an early age and years later was honorably discharged. Following his military service, Wayne received his CDL license and worked many years as a long-haul truck driver, a job he loved. He was known to stop and talk with people he met in truck stops and diners. His most recent job was working for a cleaning service. Wayne enjoyed driving, tattoos, and storytelling. He was an animal lover and had one or more cats during his life.

Due to COVID-19 restrictions, a private memorial service will be held at a later date.
