Jose Cruz, Jr., 77, of Myerstown, passed away in the Hershey Medical Center on Friday, Dec. 24, 2021. Jose was the husband of Beatriz Cruz.

Betty J. Wyrick, 82, of Palmyra, passed away on Dec. 23, 2021. Born on April 1, 1939, she was a daughter of Albert and Leola Crawford.

Dan Matrese, 63, of Cleona, passed away on Dec. 23, 2021, after being struck with COVID-19. He was the son of Neil and Louise Matrese.

Joseph C. Hefferon, Jr., 80, of Jonestown, passed away peacefully on Thursday, Dec. 23, 2021, surrounded by his family.

Carolyn M. Sutherly Hauck, 90, formerly of Newmanstown, passed away on Thursday, Dec. 23, 2021, in Stone Ridge Towne Centre, Myerstown.

Jeffrey A. Einsig, Sr., 61, of Hummelstown, passed away on Dec. 23, 2021. He was a son of the late Robert and Dolly (Warfel) Einsig.

Mervin W. Horst, 89, formerly of Newmanstown, passed away peacefully at Lincoln Christian Home in Ephrata.

Richard J. Engle, 76, of North Londonderry Twp., passed away on Thursday, Dec. 23, 2021. He was a son of the late James and Gretna Engle.

David C. Ermold, 79, loving husband, father, and grandfather, of Lebanon, passed away on Dec. 23, 2021, at the WellSpan York Hospital.

Lorraine C. (Blum) Pankratz, 69, of Elizabethtown, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family on Dec. 22, 2021.

Constance J. “Connie” Donkel, 87, of Myerstown, died on Sunday, Dec. 12, 2021, at StoneRidge Towne Centre, Myerstown.

Howard Firestine, 101, of Pine Grove, formerly of Myerstown and Lewistown, passed away peacefully on Dec. 21, 2021.

Patricia A. “Pat” (nee Ryland) Shott, 84, of Lebanon, passed away on Tuesday, Dec. 21, 2021, at her residence.

Brett Allman Swanger died Dec. 21, 2021, after fighting cancer for over a year. He is survived by his wife, stepson, daughters, and parents.
