The process for filling the state Senate seat vacated by the Wednesday resignation of Mike Folmer calls for parties to designate candidates without a primary election. Rep. Russ Diamond of Lebanon County and Rep. Thomas Mehaffie, who lives in Lower Swatara Township in Dauphin County, said they would consider acceptance if their party named them.
