Although Presidents’ Day is Monday (Feb. 17), the Community of Lebanon Association (CLA) is celebrating the holiday with its annual Cherry Pie Festival this Friday and Saturday at the Lebanon Farmers Market.

The yearly fundraiser will again feature 500 lbs of cherry pie baked by market vendor Zig’s Bakery of Lititz.

Because of their size, the pie slices are more like a big scoop. A bargain at $3, you can enjoy your serving at the market, or take it home. Your choice of crumb topping or crust topping. Proceeds from the sale benefit ongoing and future CLA projects that target community growth and quality of life.

Get yours this Friday, Feb. 14, from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. and again on Saturday, Feb. 15, from 9:00 a.m. as long as supplies last.

Many Lebanon Farmers Market vendors are also planning specials this weekend to celebrate Presidents’ Day.

Newly-elected state Senator Dave Arnold (R-48) will also be on hand for a meet and greet Saturday from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 am. Arnold is a sponsor of the Cherry Pie Festival, along with TempForce, Dominos, and Lebanon Family Health Services.

The Lebanon Farmers Market (35 S. 8th Street) is open Thursday and Friday 8:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. and Saturday 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
