Cold Spring Township
Vehicle Accident, Driving Vehicle At Safe Speeds – On Aug. 11, 2020 at 6:26 p.m., this two-vehicle crash occurred as Unit 1, a 2006 Chevrolet Impala, driven by Operator 1, a 41 year old Lebanon man, was traveling north on Gold Mine Rd. Unit 2, a 2012 Honda Accord, driven by Operator 2, a 57 year old Lebanon man, was traveling south on Gold Mine Rd. Unit 1 failed to maintain an appropriate speed for the current conditions upon the wet road surface and failed to maintain in its lane of travel. Unit 1’s front portion of the vehicle crossed over into the southbound lane of travel into the path of Unit 2. Unit 1 hit Unit 2 with its 2 o’clock position, spun counterclockwise, and hit Unit 2 again with its 5 o’clock position. Unit 1 was continuing spinning counterclockwise from the second impact and toward the northbound lane of travel where Unit 1 came to final rest straddling the fog line, facing northeast. Unit 2 came to final rest upon the initial impact within the southbound lane of travel, facing south. Operator 1 was charged with Driving Vehicle at Safe Speeds. Operator 1 and Operator 2 were injured, of unknown severity, as a result of this crash and transported via Life Lion.
Cornwall Borough
Harassment – A 43 year old Lebanon woman, an 18 year old Lebanon woman, and a 22 year old Lebanon woman have all been charged for Harassment due to an incident that occurred on Aug. 4, 2020 at 9:42 p.m., involving a 27 year old woman at her Cornwall residence.
East Hanover Township
Vehicle Accident, Driving Vehicle At Safe Speeds – On Sept. 3, 2020 at approximately 3:48 p.m., PSP Jonestown responded to a crash blocking the southbound lanes of I 81 South near mile marker 84.5. This crash occurred as Unit 1, a 2004 Freightliner truck tractor, driven by Operator 1, was traveling south on I 81 in the left lane and lost control of the tractor-trailer which resulted in the trailer fish-tailing and striking the center cable median and blocking the entire left lane and a portion of the right. As a result of Unit 1 crashing, Unit 3, a 2020 Hyundai Kona, driven by Operator 3, a 25 year old Hamburg woman, which was traveling behind Unit 1, slowed down and went into the right lane to avoid a collision with Unit 1. As Unit 3 made the lane change, Unit 2, a 2004 Freightliner, driven by Operator 2, a 43 year old Lawrenceville, GA man, rear-ended Unit 3. Operator 1 was charged with Driving Vehicle at Safe Speeds. Operator 1 and Operator 2 were not injured as a result of this crash. Operator 3 had suspected minor injuries but was not transported.
Drug Possession – On Sept. 4, 2020 at 3:53 a.m., on the 700 block of I 81 South, a traffic stop conducted by members of PSP Jonestown yielded the seizure of marijuana. The vehicle involved was a 2020 Chevrolet Tahoe. The Arrestees were a 28 year old Bridgeport, CT man, and a 32 year old Bridgeport, CT woman.
Drug Possession – On Sept. 1, 2020 at 10:15 a.m., on the 800 block of I 81 South, a traffic stop conducted by members of PSP Jonestown yielded the seizure of a small amount of marijuana. The vehicle involved was a 2017 Mitsubishi Lancer Lancer Evolution. The Arrestee was a 43 year old Coatesville man.
Receiving Stolen Property – On Aug. 24, 2020 at 4:19 p.m., at Allentown Blvd. and Jonestown Rd., PSP Jonestown troopers attempted to conduct a traffic stop on a 2007 red Ford 500 for a stolen license plate of KXP-0002. The Suspect then led troopers on a high speed pursuit west on Jonestown Rd. into Dauphin County before crashing into an occupied residence. The Supect, Roy Boyer, then fled on foot, south of the residence and was not located. The Victims were a 60 year old Hummelstown man and an 82 year old Grantville woman. An arrest warrant has been obtained for Boyer. Anyone with any information as to Boyer’s whereabouts is asked to contact PSP Jonestown immediately.
Jackson Township
Retail Theft – On Aug. 25, 2020 at 9:48 a.m., troopers responded to the 300 block of South Ramona Rd. for a report of a theft of fuel. Investigation revealed unknown Actor(s) entered the property by an unknown means of travel. The Actor(s) removed a lock from a sump pump on a fuel tank containing 100 low lead fuel and subsequently removed an unknown amount of fuel. The Actors fled the scene by an unknown means of travel in an unknown direction. The Victim was a 67 year old Lebanon man. Investigation is ongoing.
Jonestown Borough
Drug Possession – On Aug. 21, 2020 at 11:29 p.m., a traffic stop conducted by members of PSP Jonestown on West Market St. and North Water St. found the Operator, a 31 year old Myerstown man, and front seat Passenger, a 20 year old Lebanon woman, to be in possession of marijuana. The man was further placed under arrest for suspicion of DUI. Charges are to be filed pending lab results. The vehicle involved was a 2007 Honda Accord Crosstour.
Lebanon City
Aggravated Assault, Simple Assault, Accidents Involving Death – Charges of Aggravated Assault, Simple Assault, Accidents Involving Death or Personal Injury, Accidents Involving Death or Personal Injury While Not Properly Licensed, and Driving While Operating Privilege is Suspended or Revoked have been filed against Jose Berrios-Hernandez, a 44 year old Lebanon resident, after investigation into a fight which occurred on June 19, 2020 at 10:45 p.m. on the 700 block of Guilford St. Police allege there was a fight between several people, at which time, police allege Berrios-Hernandez stabbed a 36 year old male, causing non-life-threatening injury and struck a 43 year old woman with his vehicle as he was fleeing the scene. The woman was treated at a local medical facility for minor injuries sustained after being struck. All parties involved were familiar with each other; this was not a random incident.
Harassment – A 54 year old Lebanon man has been cited for Harassment after an incident on Aug. 29, 2020 at 10:50 a.m. on the 700 block of Lehman St.
Disorderly Conduct – A 49 year old Lebanon woman has been cited for Disorderly Conduct (urinating in public) on Aug. 28, 2020 at 8:20 a.m. on the 800 block of Oak St.
Protection From Abuse Order Violation, Drug Possession – Amanda Haldeman, a 32 year old Lebanon resident, has been charged with a Protection From Abuse Order Violation on Aug. 28, 2020 at 6:31 p.m. on the 600 block of Walnut St. Haldeman is accused of making contact with the Victim at his home and making several phone calls to the Victim. Contact with the Victim is a violation of the PFA. Haldeman was apprehended and is accused of possessing drug paraphernalia. She was transported to LCCB and arraigned before MDJ Maria Dissinger on the PFA Violation. She was incarcerated at LCCF in lieu of $5,000 bail. A citation was issued for the drug paraphernalia possession.
DUI – Charges of Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol have been filed against Tania Wilson, a 40 year old Lebanon resident, after contact with police on July 23, 2020 at 10:32 p.m. on the 200 block of South Lincoln Ave. Police allege Wilson’s BAC at the time she was operating her vehicle was .300%.
Drug Possession – Charges of Possession of a Controlled Substance and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia have been filed against Michelle Neal, a46 year old Lebanon resident, after police assisted Lebanon County Probation Officers on July 15, 2020 at 10:30 a.m. on the 400 block of South 8th St.
Underage Drinking – A 15 year old Lebanon male has been cited for Purchase, Consumption, Possession, or Transportation of Liquor or Malt or Brewed Beverages (Underage Drinking) on July 31, 2020 at 2:30 a.m. on the 300 block of North Harrison St. As a result of this same incident, charges of Furnishing Alcohol to Minors and Purchase, Consumption, Possession, or Transportation of Liquor or Malt or Brewed Beverages have been filed against an 18 year old Lebanon woman.
DUI, Driving While Operating Privilege Is Suspended, Careless Driving – Charges of Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol, Driving While Operating Privilege is Suspended or Revoked, and Careless Driving have been filed against Cruz Rodriguez-Montes, a 56 year old Lebanon resident, after a single-vehicle accident on July 25, 2020 at 1:57 a.m. at North 5th St. and Maple St. Police allege Rodriguez’s BAC was .300% at the time of the accident.
Myerstown Borough
Cruelty To Animals – On Sept. 3, 2020 at 6:00 p.m., PSP Jonestown responded to the 00 block of East Park Ave. with the Lebanon County Humane Society for a report of a Dog Law violation. Investigation revealed that two pit bull dogs were in the residence and hadn’t been taken care of in approximately two days. Lebanon County Humane Society took the two pit bulls and one rabbit to the shelter. A non-traffic summary citation will be filed against the owner of the animals. The Arrestee was a 27 year old Jonestown woman. PSP is investigating.
North Londonderry Township
Vehicle Accident – On Sept. 3, 2020 at 2:50 p.m., the North Londonderry Twp. police department investigated a motor vehicle crash at Forge Rd. and Londonderry Blvd. The accident occurred when Operator 1, a 24 year old Palmyra man, who was traveling south on Forge Rd., was slowing for a turning vehicle. He was rear-ended by Operator 2, a juvenile male, who was operating a pickup truck. No injuries were reported at the scene.
Union Township
DUI – On Aug. 20, 2020 at 4:23 a.m., State Police conducted a traffic stop on SR 72, north of Bordnersville Rd., in Union Twp. on a commercial motor vehicle, a 2016 Navistar International. The Operator displayed signs of impairment and was taken into custody.
Drug Possession – On Aug. 15, 2020 at 12:07 a.m., troopers conducted a traffic stop on Jonestown Rd. and Shepherd St. Upon contacting the Operator, an odor of marijuana was observed coming from the vehicle, a 1999 Honda Odyssey minivan. A probable cause search was conducted, revealing drugs and drug paraphernalia in the above vehicle. The Arrestee was Felix Rodriguez-Pabon, a 28 year old Houston, TX man. Charges are pending.
Vehicle Accident – On Sept. 3, 2020 at 4:07 p.m., this crash occurred as Unit 1, a 2015 Freightliner truck, driven by Operator 1, Olbin Flores Lopez, a 39 year old Hampton, GA man, was traveling north on I 81 near mile marker 88. For unknown reasons, Operator 1 lost control of Unit 1 and exited the roadway on the east side. Unit 1’s trailer struck the guide rail located on the east side of the roadway. The guide rail damaged the storage compartment of the trailer. Unit 1 then traveled in the grass median. Unit 1 was towed from the scene by H & S Towing. Operator 1 was not injured during this crash.
Vehicle Accident – On Sept. 2, 2020 at 6:04 a.m., this crash occurred on Jonestown Rd. at its intersection with Yingst Dr. This crash occurred as Unit 1 was unsuccessful at negotiating a right turn from Jonestown Rd. to travel north onto Yingst Dr. Unit 1 subsequently drove through the front yard of Victim 1, striking a tree. After striking the tree, Unit 1 proceeded to flee the scene north on Yingst Dr. The struck tree fell into the residence of Victim 1, causing damage to the front porch and exterior lighting. Unit 1 sustained suspected front and rear passenger’s side damage. It is unknown if Operator 1 or any of Unit 1’s Passengers were injured as a result of this crash.
