Residential Burglary – On July 27, 2021 sometime between 8:00 p.m. and 10:00 p.m., PSP Jonestown was dispatched to the 00 block of Creek Dr. regarding a burglary. Upon troopers’ arrival, they observed vehicle parts to be missing from the associated vehicle. No suspects are known at this time. Anyone with information is asked to contact PSP Jonestown. The Victim was a 79 year old Fredericksburg man. The stolen property included a Retractable Tonneau Cover, valued at $254.36. The theft from a motor vehicle involved a 2013 Honda CRV.

Commercial Burglary – On July 17, 2021 at 12:30 p.m., PSP Jonestown was dispatched to the 00 block of Speedway Dr. in Bethel Twp. for a suspicious person. Troopers then found William Holden, W/N/M, a 58 year old Chester man, to have gained access to the business via a locked fence and was currently on the roof, pulling at wires. With the assistance of the East Hanover Twp. Fire Department, troopers were able to remove Holden from the roof. Holden was taken into custody and transported to the Lebanon County Booking Center. The Victim was a 62 year old Fredericksburg man. The Arrestee was William Holden, a 58 year old Chester man. The Victim was Speedway in Fredericksburg. The damaged property included Dale Richards Car Wash, valued at $100.00. The stolen property included a Generator, valued at $0.00.

Identity Theft – In the commission of this crime, on an unknown date and unknown time, an unknown Actor(s) used the identity of the Victims to file for COVID-19 relief unemployment through the Pennsylvania Department of Labor and Industry. The Victims related that they did not file for the COVID-19 pandemic unemployment stimulus. The Victims related that they received documents from the Department of Labor and Industry on July 29, 2021. Upon approval, this report will be forwarded to the Pennsylvania Department of Labor and Industry for additional investigation. The Victims were a 60 year old Mifflintown man and a 56 year old Lebanon man. The stolen property included Identities, valued at $0.00.

Identity Theft – On July 14, 2021 at 6:47 p.m., PSP Jonestown handled an unemployment scam on the 200 block of East Main St. Upon arrival, the Victim advised that her identity was used to gain unemployment. Thus, no financial loss occurred as a result of this incident. This investigation will be completed by the U.S. Department of Labor. The Victim was a 46 year old Fredericksburg woman. The stolen property included Identity, valued at $0.00.

Cornwall Borough

Vehicle Accident – On Aug. 1, 2021 at 12:07 p.m., this crash occurred on SR 419 and Boyd St. Unit 1, driven by Operator 1, a 90 year old Cornwall resident, was east on SR 419 when he struck Unit 2, driven by Operator 2, a bicyclist, at a crosswalk. Operator 2 was transported to a local hospital.

East Hanover Township

Vehicle Accident – On July 15, 2021 at 2:17 p.m., this reportable crash occurred at Allentown Blvd. (SR 22) at its intersection with Lincoln School Rd. in East Hanover Twp. Unit 1, a burgundy 2016 Cadillac ATS, driven by Operator 1, a 22 year old Marysville man, was traveling west in the right lane of SR 22. Unit 1 traversed off of the right shoulder of the roadway and continued westbound into the parking lot of Hoerner’s Service Station, where Unit 1 sideswiped Unit 2, a white 2015 Chevrolet CK 2500, driven by Operator 2, legally parked in the parking lot. Other parties involved include Unit 3, a 2013 Ford Mustang, driven by Operator 3, and Unit 4, a 2021 Ford F150, driven by Operator 4. Operator 1 was wearing his seatbelt at the time of the crash. Operator 1 sustained suspected minor injuries as a result of this crash and was transported via Life Lion to the Hershey Medical Center. Operator 1 was cited for Careless Driving.

Vehicle Accident – On July 16, 2021 at 4:24 p.m., this crash occurred on Gravel Hill Rd. at its intersection with Pine Rd. The parties involved include Unit 1, a 1999 Buick Century, driven by Operator 1, an 87 year old Lebanon woman, accompanied by Passenger 1, an 89 year old Lebanon man, and Unit 2, a 2017 Toyota Corolla, driven by Operator 2, a 31 year old Grantville man. Operator 1, Passenger 1, and Operator 2 were wearing their seatbelts at the time of the crash. Operator 1 and Passenger 1 sustained suspected minor injuries as a result of this crash and were transported via Life Lion. Operator 2 sustained suspected minor injuries as a result of this crash but was not transported. Operator 1 was cited for Stop Signs and Yield Signs.

Vehicle Accident – On July 26, 2021 at 3:36 p.m., this crash occurred as Unit 1, a 2018 Toyota Prius, driven by Operator 1, a 78 year old Asheville, NC man, accompanied by Passenger 1, a 71 year old Asheville, NC woman, was traveling south on I 81 near mile marker 82. While Unit 1 was traveling in the left “passing” lane, Unit 1 failed to maintain its lane, traveling off of the southern side of the roadway. Unit 1 then struck uneven payment, which was its point of initial impact. Unit 1 then continued south of the roadway, striking a guide rail with Unit 1’s 11 o’clock position. Unit 1 then spun approximately 540 degrees, coming to final rest south of the roadway, facing north. Operator 1 and Passenger 1 were wearing their seatbelts at the time of the crash. Operator 1 did not sustain any injuries as a result of this crash. Passenger 1 sustained suspected minor injuries as a result of this crash and was transported via Life Lion to the Hershey Medical Center. Unit 1 required towing. Operator 1 was cited for Driving on Roadways Laned for Traffic.

Vehicle Accident – On July 17, 2021 at 12:10 p.m., this crash occurred as Unit 1, a 2005 Ford Escape, driven by Operator 1, a 66 year old Lebanon man, and Unit 2, a 1997 Dodge Ram 1500 pickup, driven by Operator 2, a 36 year old Lebanon man, were traveling north on West Main St., south of its intersection with Gibble Rd. Unit 1 failed to slow for Unit 2’s lefthand turn into a private driveway. Unit 1 then left the roadway to its north, striking an embankment. Unit 1 then overturned onto its driver’s side. Unit 1’s 9 o’clock position then struck Unit 2’s 3 o’clock position, which would be both Units’ point of initial impact and final rest. Operator 1 and Operator 2 were wearing their seatbelts at the time of the crash. Operator 1 sustained suspected minor injuries as a result of this crash and was transported via Schaefferstown EMS to the Hershey Medical Center. Operator 1 did not sustain any injuries as a result of this crash. Operator 1 was cited for Driving Vehicle at Safe Speed.

Vehicle Accident – On July 24, 2021 at 4:10 p.m., this single-vehicle crash occurred as Unit 1, a 2009 Harley-Davidson Fat Boy, driven by Operator 1, a 39 year old Dallastown man, accompanied by Passenger 1, a 37 year old Dallastown woman, was traveling south on Hopeland Dr. in Heidelberg Twp. This crash occurred as Operator 1 failed to negotiate a lefthand curve in the roadway, left the roadway, and came to rest in the grass/shrubs off of the righthand side of the roadway. Operator 1 and Passenger 1 were using their motorcycle helmets at the time of the crash. Missing Person – On Aug. 2, 2021 at 7:59 a.m., troopers responded to the 00 block of King St. and made contact with the Complainant who was concerned for the wellbeing of his daughter. The Complainant has been unable to make contact with her since July 22, 2021 and cell phone records indicate that communication ceased on her line on this date. A Missing Person declaration was signed and entries were made into NCIC for the missing person. If there is any contact or sightings, please call the Pennsylvania State Police Jonestown Station at 717-865-2194 attn. Trooper Kline. The Missing Person is Amanda Batdorf, a 29 year old Myerstown woman. Her height is 5’4″. Her eyes are blue. Her race is white. Her ethnicity is non-Hispanic. The vehicles involved included a 2007 Volvo.

Myerstown Borough

Vehicle Accident – On July 18, 2021 at 12:10 p.m., this reportable crash occurred at West Lincoln Ave. (SR 422 West) at its intersection with North Railroad St. in Jackson Twp. Unit 1, a blue 2005 Ford Taurus X, driven by Operator 1, a 58 year old Shillington woman, was traveling west on SR 422, as Operator 1 failed to negotiate the righthand turn onto North Railroad St. with Unit 1. Unit 1 continued to travel straight through the curve in the roadway, crossed the median, and traveled through the southbound lane of North Railroad St., striking a tree. Initial impact occurred as the front bumper of Unit 1 struck a tree on the southbound shoulder on North Railroad St. Unit 1 came to final rest, facing north on the left shoulder of the roadway. Unit 1 was disabled from the crash and towed from the scene by CJ Wagner’s Towing. Operator 1 was wearing her seatbelt at the time of the crash. Operator 1 did not sustain any injuries as a result of this crash. Operator 1 was cited for Driving Vehicle at Safe Speed.

Vehicle Accident – On July 23, 2021 at 3:50 p.m., this two-vehicle crash occurred at the intersection on North College St. and West Lincoln Ave. in Myerstown Boro. This crash occurred as Unit 1, a 2009 Mazda CX7, driven by Operator 1, a 31 year old Reading man, was traveling east on West Lincoln Ave., approaching a steady red signal at the intersection. Unit 2, a 2011 Kia Optima, driven by Operator 2, a 26 year old Myerstown woman, was traveling north on North College St., approaching a steady green signal. Operator 1 failed to stop for the red signal, entered the intersection, and struck Unit 2. Operator 1 and Operator 2 were wearing their seatbelts at the time of the crash. Operator 1 did not sustain any injuries as a result of this crash. Operator 2 sustained possible injuries as a result of this crash and was transported via the Myerstown First Aid Unit to the Good Samaritan Hospital. Operator 1 was cited for Traffic-Control Signals.

North Lebanon Township

DUI – On July 10, 2021 at 1:56 a.m., a traffic stop was conducted on SR 72 North and Orange St. on a 2020 Ford Escape for a moving violation. Upon initial contact with the Operator, odors of an alcoholic beverage were emitting from the interior. The Operator of the vehicle submitted to SFSTS and showed signs of impairment. The Operator was taken into custody for suspicion of Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol or a Controlled Substance. Trooper Gutsie is investigating.

Richland Borough

Vehicle Accident – On July 24, 2021 at 11:36 a.m., Operator 1, a 56 year old Palmyra man, was cited for a traffic violation, Moving Stopped or Parked Vehicle, after he exited the Speedway parking lot onto Horseshoe Pike, striking Unit 2, driven by Operator 2, a 34 year old Lititz woman. Operator 1 and Operator 2 did not sustain any injuries as a result of this crash. Unit 2 was towed.

Swatara Township

Theft Of Vehicle Parts – Sometime between July 11, 2021 at 8:00 p.m. and July 12, 2021 at 6:00 a.m., PSP Jonestown was dispatched to the 400 block of North Lancaster St. for a report of a stolen catalytic converter from the attached vehicle. A suspect is known at the time. PSP Jonestown is investigating. The Victim was a 30 year old Sparks, MD woman. The stolen property included a Toyota Removed Catalytic Converter, valued at $250.00. The theft from a motor vehicle involved a 2009 Toyota Camry.

Unit 1, an unknown make and model, driven by Operator 1, failed to properly back into a legal parking spot located to the north of Unit 2. Unit 1’s trailing unit then struck Unit 2’s trailing unit, which would be both Units’ point of initial impact. Unit 1 then fled the area in an unknown direction and Unit 2 remained in the same position. This would be Unit 2’s point of final rest. No medical attention or tows were required as a result of this crash.

Vehicle Accident – On July 16, 2021 at 5:01 p.m., this crash occurred as Unit 1, a 2003 Nissan Pathfinder, driven by Operator 1, was traveling south on Old Forge Rd. and Unit 2, a 2021 Hyundai Sonata, driven by Operator 2, was exiting north from Love’s Gas Station onto Old Forge Rd. Unit 1 failed to slow for Unit 2’s turning. Unit 1’s 11 o’clock position then struck Unit 2’s 7 o’clock position, which would be both Units’ point of initial impact. Both Units then came to a controlled stop within Love’s Gas Station parking lot, which would be both Units’ point of final rest. No tows or medical attention were required as a result of this crash. Operator 1 was cited for Driving on Right Side of Roadway.

Drug Possession – On July 14, 2021 at 3:41 p.m., PSP Jonestown conducted a mere encounter on SR 72 and Wolfe Ln. Through the course of the encounter, criminal elements were detected. The Arrestee was found to be in possession of contraband. The Arrestee was a 28 year old Jonestown man.

West Cornwall Township

Vehicle Accident – On July 31, 2021 at 11:18 a.m., this crash occurred on SR 322 at Spangler Rd. Unit 2, driven by Operator 2, a 36 year old Ephrata man, was attempting to turn right onto Spangler Dr. when Unit 1, driven by Operator 1, a 33 year old man, struck the rear of Unit 2. No injuries were reported as a result of this crash. One vehicle was towed from the scene.
