Editor’s Note: In 2021, Michael and Nicole Borrell began reviewing Lebanon Valley’s restaurants and eating attractions as the Lebanon Valley Food Critics. Since then, the couple has aimed to offer unbiased reviews of the eating and drinking establishments the Lebanon Valley has to offer. LebTown is pleased to be partnering with LVFC to share these reviews with our readers. Bon appétit!

This Saturday led us to venture into Myerstown to the Olde Willow Tree Café on N. College St.

This quaint café with parking in the rear is attached to a primitive shop that is great to burn off a hearty breakfast meal before you leave. There is seating inside and out, and the restaurant has a cozy feel to it, with bar seating along with mismatched diner tables and seating and fun diner signs all over the walls.

We sat down and ordered a breakfast wrap ($5.00) which included scrambled eggs, pepper, onion, Colby jack cheese and choice of sausage or bacon.

I chose sausage and I was not disappointed. Typically, I like to ask for a side of salsa to add to my breakfast wraps, but this wrap was flavorful all on its own.

I added a hash brown patty ($1.50) and that was crispy and a good side for the wrap.

We also got a waffle ($4.00) and a side of bacon ($2.00). The waffle was fluffy and had the perfect sweet flavor you would expect from a Belgian waffle.

The bacon was also cooked just to our liking. Rounding out our order were two scrambled eggs and toast which were enjoyed by the youngest member of the Lebanon Valley Food Critics. You really can’t go wrong when you order scrambled eggs, and she especially enjoyed it with the wheat toast.

Our Take: friendly Staff who appear to take pride in their restaurant, and the meal was hot and delicious and arrived quickly to our table after ordering. With indoor and outdoor seating, it’s a pleasant place to go for breakfast or lunch, either of which is served all day. We look forward to coming back, and maybe doing a little shopping on our way out!
