Bethel Township

Harassment – On Oct. 28, 2021 at 3:12 p.m., State Police responded to SR 22 for a report of an altercation between employees. Through investigation, it was determined that the Victim, an employee, was walking into work when Suspect 1, another employee, as well as Suspect 2, an unknown male, approached the Victim. A verbal altercation ensued between the Victim and the Suspects. The altercation turned physical when one of the Suspects struck the Victim two to three times with a closed fist. The Suspects then fled the scene. Investigation is ongoing. The Victim was a 20 year old Reading man.

Vehicle Accident – On Oct. 30, 2021 at 10:17 a.m., this crash occurred as Unit 1, a 2020 Volvo XC60, driven by Operator 1, was traveling eastbound upon West Main Ave. Unit 2, a 2017 Chevrolet Traverse, was parked and unoccupied on the 100 block of West Main Ave. As Unit 1 approached the intersection of West Main Ave. and Pine Grove St., Unit 1 hit Unit 2’s driver’s side’s mirror with its passenger’s side fender. Unit 1 then completed the left turn onto the northbound lane of Pine Grove St.

East Hanover Township

Vehicle Accident – On Oct. 29, 2021 at 7:18 p.m., this crash occurred on I 81 Southbound near mile marker 84.2 in East Hanover Twp. Unit 1, an unknown make and model, driven by Operator 1, was traveling southbound in the right lane behind Unit 2, a 2020 Subaru Impreza, driven by Operator 2, a 34 year old Plymouth man. Unit 3, a 2020 Honda Accord, driven by Operator 3, a 45 year old Greenwood, SC woman, accompanied by Passenger 1, a 14 year old Greenwood, SC juvenile female, was traveling southbound in the left lane. Unit 1 rear-ended Unit 2. Unit 1 then moved to the left lane, rear-ending Unit 3. Unit 1 fled from the scene of this crash. The extent of the damage to Unit 1 is unknown. It is unknown whether Operator 1 was wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash. It is unknown whether and to what extent Operator 1 sustained any injuries as a result of this crash. Unit 2 and Unit 3 each sustained minor damage and were driven from the scene by their respective Operators. Operator 2, Operator 3, and Passenger 1 were wearing their seatbelts at the time of the crash. Operator 2, Operator 3, or Passenger 1 did not sustain any injuries as a result of this crash.

Vehicle Accident – On Oct. 30, 2021 at 7:54 a.m., this two-vehicle crash occurred on I 81 Southbound in the area of mile marker 85.9 in East Hanover Twp. This crash occurred as traffic was slowing down in both lanes of travel. Investigation revealed that Unit 1, a 2018 Ford F450, driven by Operator 1, a 22 year old Green Lane man, accompanied by Passenger 1, a 44 year old Royersford man, and Passenger 2, a 42 year old Royersford man, was traveling too closely to Unit 2, a 2015 Volkswagen Beetle (Super Beetle), driven by Operator 2, a 50 year old Kunkletown woman, accompanied by Passenger 3, a 55 year old Kunkletown man, Passenger 4, a 9 year old Kunkletown juvenile female, and Passenger 5, a 2 year old Kunkletown juvenile male, and driving at an unsafe speed for the wet roadway conditions. Unit 1 subsequently struck the rear of Unit 2. Operator 1, Passenger 1, Passenger 2, and Passenger 4 were wearing their seatbelts at the time of the crash. Passenger 5 was in a child safety seat (rear-facing) at the time of the crash. Operator 2 and Passenger 3 were not wearing their seatbelts at the time of the crash. Operator 1, Passenger 1, and Passenger 2 did not sustain any injuries as a result of this crash. Operator 2 sustained a suspected minor injury, to the shoulder and leg, as a result of this crash. Passenger 3 sustained a suspected minor injury, a head laceration, as a result of this crash. Passenger 4, who was the rear driver’s side passenger of Unit 2, and Passenger 5, who was the rear passenger’s side passenger of Unit 2, were labeled in critical condition as a result of this crash. Operator 2, Passenger 3, Passenger 4, and Passenger 5 were transported via Penn State Life Lion EMS to the Penn State Hershey Medical Center for further evaluation and treatment. Operator 1 was cited for Driving Vehicle at Safe Speed.

Vehicle Accident – On Oct. 30, 2021 at 8:51 a.m., this crash occurred on Allentown Blvd. at its intersection with Jonestown Rd. in East Hanover Twp. Unit 1, a 2020 Ford F350, driven by Operator 1, a 22 year old Pottstown man, was traveling eastbound in the left lane. Unit 2, a 2018 Chevrolet Equinox, driven by Operator 2, an 80 year old Palmyra man, was traveling eastbound in the right lane. Unit 1 crossed into Unit 2’s lane of travel, striking Unit 2. Unit 1 and Unit 2 came to final rest in their respective lanes of travel. Unit 1 sustained disabling damage as a result of this crash and was towed from the scene by Porrini’s Towing. Unit 2 sustained disabling damage as a result of this crash and was towed from the scene by Glenn’s Towing. Operator 1 was not wearing his seatbelt at the time of the crash. Operator 2 was wearing his seatbelt at the time of the crash. Operator 1 and Operator 2 did not sustain any injuries as a result of this crash. Operator 1 was cited for Driving on Roadways Laned for Traffic.

Vehicle Accident – On Oct. 29, 2021 at 5:13 p.m., this crash occurred on I 81 Southbound near mile marker 82.2 in East Hanover Twp. Unit 1, a 2009 Ford Focus, driven by Operator 1, a 28 year old Woodbridge, VA man, accompanied by Passenger 1, a 32 year old Woodbridge, VA woman, was traveling southbound in the left lane. Unit 1 exited the left side of the roadway, striking a cable barrier in the median. Unit 1 slid along the cable barrier, rotated approximately 180 degrees clockwise, and came to final rest in the median off of the left side of the roadway. Unit 1 sustained all-around, disabling damage and was towed from the scene by H&S. Operator 1 and Passenger 1 were wearing their seatbelts at the time of the crash. Operator 1 did not sustain any injuries as a result of this crash. Passenger 1 sustained possible injuries as a result of this crash and was transported via Life Lion EMS to the Hershey Medical Center. Operator 1 was cited for Driving Vehicle at Safe Speed.

Vehicle Accident – On Oct. 29, 2021 at 5:35 p.m., this single-vehicle crash occurred as Unit 1, a 2011 Ford Fiesta, driven by Operator 1, a 57 year old Fredericksburg woman, was traveling westbound in the left lane of SR 22 in the vicinity of the SR 934 off-ramp in Swatara Twp. Unit 1 entered deep-standing water located in the left lane of travel, caused by a clogged drainage pipe, causing Unit 1 to hydroplane and strike the concrete road barrier located on the left side of the westbound lanes of travel. Unit 1 sustained disabling damage to its 12 o’clock position. Operator 1 was wearing her seatbelt at the time of the crash. Operator 1 did not sustain any injuries as a result of this crash. PSP Jonestown was assisted on scene by H&S Towing and PennDOT.

Vehicle Accident – On Oct. 29, 2021 at 6:27 p.m., this single-vehicle crash occurred as Unit 1, a 2005 Toyota Corolla, driven by Operator 1, a 32 year old Cleona man, was traveling east on Jonestown Rd. in the vicinity of the 10000 block of Jonestown Rd. in East Hanover Twp. Unit 1 struck a piece of concrete off of the right side of the roadway, causing disabling damage to the passenger’s side front and rear tires. Unit 1 came to controlled final rest in the grass on the right side of the roadway. Operator 1 left the scene of the crash. Operator 1 was wearing his seatbelt at the time of the crash. Operator 1 related that he did not suffer any injuries as a result of this crash. Operator 1 arranged for a personal tow for Unit 1. Operator 1 was cited for Accidents Involving Damage to Unattended Vehicle or Property.

Jackson Township

Vehicle Accident – On Oct. 30, 2021 at approximately 10:00 p.m., this single-vehicle reportable crash occurred in the 300 block of King St. in Jackson Twp. Unit 1, a gray 2019 Dodge Caravan, driven by Operator 1, a 52 year old Lebanon man, was traveling west in the right lane of King St. Unit 1 traversed into the oncoming lane and onto the left shoulder, where it struck a utility pole. Initial impact occurred as the front left bumper of Unit 1 struck the utility pole. Unit 1 came to final rest on the left shoulder of the roadway, facing west. Unit 1 was disabled from the crash and was towed from the scene by Joe May’s Towing. Operator 1 fled the scene prior to police arrival. The fire department on scene was able to identify Operator 1 as the only person in the vehicle. Operator 1 was wearing his seatbelt at the time of the crash. It is unknown whether and to what extent Operator 1 sustained any injuries as a result of this crash.

Public Drunkenness – On Oct. 31, 2021 at 2:43 p.m., troopers were dispatched to the Turkey Hill Service Station at West Lincoln Ave. for a report of a white non-Hispanic man who appeared intoxicated and would not leave the gas station. The Complainant related that the Arrestee was in a black Toyota Corolla bearing PA registration LSL7742. Upon troopers’ arrival, the Complainant related that the vehicle had just left the gas station and was headed westbound on SR 422. Troopers located the vehicle and conducted a traffic stop. Upon contacting the Arrestee in the passenger’s side of the vehicle, he was visibly intoxicated but related that he had not been drinking or using any illegal drugs recently. The Arrestee admitted to using marijuana earlier on Oct. 31, 2021. The Arrestee was released to the driver of the vehicle, who related that she was taking him back to his residence. Appropriate charges have been filed. The Arrestee was a 29 year old Lebanon man. The vehicles involved included a 2020 Toyocar Van Container Trailer.

Sexual Assault With Object – Members from PSP Jonestown are investigating a report of a sexual assault to a juvenile that reportedly occurred in June of 2021 on Dragonfly Court. The investigation is ongoing. The Victim was a 13 year old Myerstown juvenile male.

Drug Possession – On Oct. 13, 2021 at 8:55 a.m., this incident occurred as the Actor was living at an unreported address with Lebanon County Probation/Parole. The Probation Officers came to the residence to interact with him and observed drugs and paraphernalia in plain view. Lebanon County Probation contacted PSP for assistance. PSP arrived on scene and determined that another Actor inside of the residence was in possession of a controlled substance as well. PSP seized all contraband and appropriate charges will be filed. The Arrestees were a 31 year old Lebanon man and a 28 year old Lebanon woman.

Jonestown Borough

Vehicle Accident – On Oct. 28, 2021 at 7:33 p.m., this crash occurred on Market St. approximately 25 yards east of its intersection with King St. in Jonestown Boro. Unit 1, an unknown make and model, driven by Operator 1, was traveling east on Market St. Unit 2/Operator 2 (a pedestrian), a 50 year old Jonestown woman, was crossing Market St. from north to south. Unit 1 struck Operator 2 in the eastbound lane of Market St. Unit 1 subsequently fled from the scene. It is unknown whether and to what extent Unit 1 sustained any damage as a result of this crash. It is unknown whether Operator 1 was wearing their seatbelt at the time of the crash. It is unknown whether and to what extent Operator 1 sustained any injuries as a result of this crash. Operator 2 was not injured as a result of this crash.

Millcreek Township

Harassment – On Oct. 29, 2021 at 1:00 a.m., troopers were dispatched to East Main St. While on scene, a domestic incident was reported. Appropriate charges have been filed. The Arrestee was a 30 year old Richland man. The Victim was a 24 year old Richland woman.

Myerstown Borough

Vehicle Accident – On Oct. 28, 2021 at 7:02 a.m., this crash occurred on North Locust St. near the 200 block of West Lincoln Ave. at the west entrance of the Turkey Hill Service Station. This crash involved Unit 1, driven by Operator 1, a 40 year old Myerstown woman, accompanied by Passenger 1, a 4 year old Myerstown juvenile female, and Unit 2, driven by Operator 2, a 28 year old Myerstown woman, accompanied by Passenger 2, a 36 year old Myerstown man. Operator 1, Operator 2, and Passenger 2 were wearing their seatbelts at the time of the crash. Passenger 1 was in a child safety seat (front facing) at the time of the crash. Operator 1, Passenger 1, and Passenger 2 did not sustain any injuries as a result of this crash. Operator 2 sustained injuries of unknown severity as a result of this crash and was transported via Myerstown First Aid Unit to the Penn State Hershey Medical Center.

Death Natural – On Oct. 22, 2021 at 8:00 a.m., this incident occurred on West Washington Ave. as the Victim, an 89 year old W/N-M, was found unresponsive inside of his residence. The Victim was discovered in his bedroom by his caretaker. 911 was contacted. The Victim suffered from multiple health-related conditions. There were no signs of criminal activity observed at the scene. The Victim was an 89 year old Myerstown man.

North Londonderry Township

Drug Possession, Vehicle Equipment Violation – North Londonderry Twp. Police have charged Adam Houser, a 21 year old Annville resident, with Possession of a Small Amount of Marijuana and a vehicle equipment violation following a traffic stop on the 1100 block of West Main St. in Annville on April 1, 2021 at 11:47 p.m.

Disorderly Conduct, Harassment – North Londonderry Twp. Police cited a 16 year old Palmyra juvenile female with Disorderly Conduct and Harassment after she engaged in a fight with another student in the hallway of the Palmyra High School on Oct. 14, 2021 at 12:03 p.m.

Drug Possession, Driving While Suspended – North Londonderry Twp. Police have charged Rico Hicks, a 37 year old Palmyra resident, with Possession of Crack Cocaine, Possession of Marijuana, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and Driving With a Suspended License. The vehicle that Hicks was driving was stopped on the 1100 block of West Main St. on July 16, 2021 at 8:00 p.m.

South Londonderry Township

Vehicle Accident – On Oct. 29, 2021 at 5:16 p.m., Unit 1, a 2000 Mazda pickup truck, driven by Operator 1, a 21 year old Lebanon resident, lost control in the 1400 block of Mount Wilson Rd. during a heavy rainstorm, and crashed into a few mailboxes. No injuries were reported as a result of this crash. Zimmey’s Auto towed Unit 1 from the scene.

Swatara Township

Vehicle Accident – On Oct. 31, 2021 at 2:28 p.m., this crash occurred at the intersection of Grace Ave. and Water St. in Swatara Twp. Unit 1, a 2014 Nissan Murano, driven by Operator 1, was traveling north on Grace Ave. and made a lefthand turn onto Water St. Unit 2, a 2012 Mini Cooper, driven by Operator 2, was stopped at the stop sign on Water St., preparing to turn right onto Grace Ave. Unit 1 struck the front end of Unit 2 in the 11 o’clock position while making the left turn onto Water St. This was both Units’ point of initial impact. After impact, both Units were able to pull off of the roadway to await police arrival. No injuries were reported as a result of this crash. No tow was necessary. Operator 1 was cited for Turning Movements.

Vehicle Accident – On Oct. 29, 2021 at 3:06 p.m., this crash occurred on Quarry Rd., approximately half a mile north of its intersection with Moore Rd. in Swatara Twp. Unit 1, a 2019 Subaru Ascent, driven by Operator 1, a 34 year old Lebanon man, accompanied by Passenger 1, a 28 year old Lebanon woman, was traveling south on Quarry Rd., negotiating a lefthand curve. Unit 1 left the roadway, striking a tree on the west shoulder. Unit 1 came to final rest partially in the south lane and partially on the west shoulder of Quarry Rd., facing south. Unit 1 sustained disabling damage and was towed from the scene by Blatt and Tillett. Operator 1 and Passenger 1 were wearing their seatbelts at the time of the crash. Operator 1 and Passenger 1 did not sustain any injuries as a result of this crash. Operator 1 was cited for Driving Vehicle at Safe Speed.

Vehicle Accident – On Sept. 24, 2021 at 12:50 p.m., this two-vehicle crash occurred as Unit 1, a 2014 Chrysler Town & Country minivan, driven by Operator 1, an 80 year old Jonestown woman, was traveling south on Old Route 22 at its intersection with SR 22 in Swatara Twp. The northbound side of Old Route 22 is controlled by a clearly posted stop sign. Unit 2, a 2007 Chevrolet Cobalt, driven by Operator 2, a 30 year old Lebanon woman, was traveling eastbound upon the left lane of SR 22 East. Unit 1 failed to stop at the clearly posted stop sign, continued forward, and then attempted a left turn onto SR 22 West. Unit 2, having the right of way, struck Unit 1’s 7 o’clock position. Operator 1 was wearing her seatbelt at the time of the crash. Operator 2 was not wearing her seatbelt at the time of the crash. Operator 1 and Operator 2 sustained suspected minor injuries as a result of this crash but refused transport. Operator 1 was cited for Obedience to Traffic-Control Devices. Operator 2 was cited for Driving Vehicle at Safe Speed.

Vehicle Accident – On Nov. 2, 2021 at 1:19 a.m., this reportable crash occurred at I 81 South near mile marker 94 in Swatara Twp. Unit 1, a white 2021 Hyundai Kona, driven by Operator 1, a 23 year old Hazleton man, accompanied by Passenger 1, a 17 year old Hazleton juvenile male, was traveling south in the right lane of I 81. Initial impact occurred as Unit 1’s front bumper struck a deer. After impact, Unit 1 came to final rest on the right shoulder of the roadway. Unit 1 was towed from the scene by Motter’s Towing. Operator 1 and Passenger 1 were wearing their seatbelts at the time of the crash. Operator 1 and Passenger 1 did not sustain any injuries as a result of this crash.

Union Township

Vehicle Accident – On Oct. 29, 2021 at 6:10 p.m., this crash occurred as Unit 1, a 2008 Dodge Ram 2500 pickup truck, driven by Operator 1, a 54 year old Equinunk man, accompanied by Passenger 1, a 49 year old Equinunk woman, and Unit 2, a 2005 Freightliner M2, driven by Operator 2, a 64 year old Lithonia, GA man, were traveling southbound in the righthand lane of I 81 near mile marker 86.8 in Union Twp. Unit 1 was traveling directly behind Unit 2. While slowing down for traffic conditions ahead, Unit 1 rear-ended Unit 2, causing damage to both vehicles. After impact, both Unit 1 and Unit 2 exited the roadway, where they came to their position of final rest on the right shoulder of I 81 South. Operator 1, Passenger 1, and Operator 2 were wearing their seatbelts at the time of the crash. Operator 1, Passenger 1, and Operator 2 did not sustain any injuries as a result of this crash. No airbags were deployed as a result of this crash. Unit 1 was towed from the scene by Joe May’s Towing. PSP Jonestown was assisted on scene by Joe May’s Towing. Operator 1 was cited for Following Too Closely.

Vehicle Accident – On Oct. 29, 2021 at 4:06 p.m., this commercial vehicle crash occurred as Unit 1, a 2016 Freightliner Tractor, driven by Operator 1, a 48 year old Sand Springs, OK man, attempted to pass Unit 2, a 2017 Volvo Tractor, driven by Operator 2, a 58 year old Cookeville, TN man, in the left lane as Unit 2 slowed down. As Unit 1 attempted to pass, it struck Unit 2’s trailer and jackknifed, coming to final rest in the left lane. Unit 1 sustained disabling damage to its 12 o’clock position and 1 o’clock position. Unit 2 sustained minor damage to its trailer at the 9 o’clock position. Unit 1 was towed from the scene. Unit 2 left the scene under its own power. Operator 1 and Operator 2 were wearing their seatbelts at the time of the crash. Operator 1 and Operator 2 did not sustain any injuries as a result of this crash. Operator 1 was cited for Driving Vehicle at Safe Speed.

Vehicle Accident – On Oct. 16, 2021 at 12:43 p.m., this crash occurred on Allentown Blvd., just west of its intersection with Yingst Dr. in Union Twp. This was a single-vehicle crash that occurred as Unit 1, a 2006 Suzuki GSXR-1000, driven by Operator 1, a 46 year old Harrisburg man, was traveling west in the left lane on Allentown Blvd. As Unit 1 passed Yingst Dr., Operator 1 began to lose control of Unit 1. Unit 1 then slid onto its side, causing Operator 1 to fall off of Unit 1. Both Operator 1 and Unit 1 slid into the right lane of Allentown Blvd., where they both came to final rest. Unit 1 sustained damage to its body panels and front suspension fork area. Operator 1 was wearing his motorcycle helmet at the time of the crash. Operator 1 sustained minor injuries to his legs and back as a result of this crash and was treated by Life Lion EMS members on scene. Operator 1 refused transport to the hospital. Unit 1 was towed by Operator 1.

Vehicle Accident – On Oct. 17, 2021 at 1:12 p.m., this two-vehicle crash occurred upon the north side of the commercial parking area located at Bordnersville Rd. in Union Twp. Unit 1, a 2015 Freightliner LTL, driven by Operator 1, was traveling eastbound in an unmarked improved surface. Unit 2, a 2019 Kalmar IND TZ 4X2, driven by Operator 2, was to the far north position of the improved surface, backing into a parking stall numbered 36. Unit 1 continued forward as Unit 2 was backing up the trailer. Unit 1 had ample space to avoid this collision south of the crash site. Unit 2 struck Unit 1’s 9 o’clock position, causing minor damage to Unit 1’s door.

Note: Unit 2 is a Jockey Tractor Trailer and is not a traditional onroad vehicle. The vehicle’s VIN number is 350608. However, for the purpose of this report, additional zeros were added due to circumvent program errors within the report writing system.

Harassment – On Oct. 11, 2021 at 10:55 a.m., troopers responded to Ridge Rd. for a verbal/physical domestic altercation. Through further investigation, it was determined that the Arrestee shoved the Victim. The Arrestee was subsequently charged with Harassment. The Victim was a 54 year old Jonestown woman. The Arrestee was a 35 year old Jonestown woman.

Vehicle Accident – On Oct. 31, 2021 at 5:17 a.m., this reportable crash occurred on SR 22, just west of its intersection with SR 72 in Union Twp. Unit 1, a silver 2019 Nissan Murano, driven by Operator 1, a 53 year old Jonestown woman, was traveling west in the right lane of SR 22. Unit 1 struck a deer. Initial impact occurred as the front bumper of Unit 1 struck the deer. Unit 1 came to final rest on the right shoulder of SR 22, facing west. Unit 1 was disabled from the crash and was towed from the scene by Joe May’s. Operator 1 was wearing her seatbelt at the time of the crash. Operator 1 sustained suspected minor injuries as a result of this crash and was transported via Life Lion EMS to the Hershey Medical Center.

West Cornwall Township

Vehicle Accident – On Oct. 31, 2021 at 3:28 p.m., this crash occurred on SR 117 at Old Mine Rd. Unit 1, driven by Operator 1, a 23 year old Conyngham resident, was traveling south on SR 117, when he veered off of the roadway onto an embankment, striking a utility pole. No injuries were reported as a result of this crash. Unit 1 was towed from the scene.
