Editor’s Note: In 2021, Michael and Nicole Borrell began reviewing Lebanon Valley’s restaurants and eating attractions as the Lebanon Valley Food Critics. Since then, the couple has aimed to offer unbiased reviews of the eating and drinking establishments the Lebanon Valley has to offer. LebTown is pleased to be partnering with LVFC to share these reviews with our readers. Bon appétit!

In an area rich with pizza shops and casual American fare, it was nice to try something distinct.

Our first stop on our new journey was to the soon-to-be Target shopping center and Pho Yummy. This family run restaurant is among several in the shopping center.

From an outside appearance, it appears inconspicuous. Inside is a very spacious layout.

With an area towards the back for larger groups, the front end offers 20-plus booths for diners.

Offering both dine-in and take-out, the menu offers a variety of dishes. As the name implies they serve pho, but there are also 16 noodle dishes and seven rice dishes, each with vegetarian options.

In addition, they have a variety of appetizers and non-soda drinks. Most dishes range in price from $11.95 to $16.95.

For today’s meal we had Vietnamese egg rolls (2), small Pho Tai, and Vietnamese Style Stir-Fried Noodles with shrimp.

Despite a large group dining in the back area (we were advised by our waitress it could be an extended wait for our dinners) our food came out in a timely fashion.

The egg rolls were bland, but the accompanying sweet chili sauce made them taste delectable.

You do not need to be a well-versed foodie to be able to enjoy a good bowl of pho. Always remember, a quick Google search will show you everything you need to know.

The small Pho Tai, with sliced beef eye-round steak, arrived and was enough to feed a small army. The rice noodles within were the right consistency and plentiful.

Adding some garnishments of bean sprouts, jalapenos, Thai basil, lime, cilantro and hoisin sauce on top of the tasteful aroma of the broth made for a pleasant dinner.

The Vietnamese Style Stir-Fried Noodles with shrimp meal was also not lacking in size. You are provided garnishments with your dishes to make it to your desired flavor. Options include going from sweet to spicy hot.

For me, I enjoy a sweet-hot flavor and it paired well with this dish and its plentiful shrimp. Be sure you take advantage as the flavor combinations will keep you wanting more.

Pho Yummy provided a warm atmosphere as well as kind, helpful staff with a clean and spacious dining area. Our dishes, on top of being delectable, allowed for us to have plenty to eat, with enough for an extra meal or two.

We give Pho Yummy ????.
