Bethel Township
Vehicle Accident – On Nov. 28, 2021 at 7:52 a.m., this crash occurred on South Pine Grove St., just south of its intersection with Golf Rd. in Bethel Twp. Unit 1, a 2004 Toyota Tacoma, driven by Operator 1, a 76 year old Lebanon man, was traveling north on South Pine Grove St. Unit 1 left the west shoulder of the roadway, striking an embankment. Unit 1 then rotated approximately 180 degrees, coming to final rest on the east shoulder of the roadway. Operator 1 was not wearing his seatbelt at the time of the crash. Operator 1 sustained possible injuries as a result of this crash and was transported via Life Lion EMS to the Hershey Medical Center for evaluation. Unit 1 sustained disabling damage and was towed from the scene by Motter’s. PSP Jonestown was assisted on scene by Life Lion EMS and Lebanon County fire companies.
Sexual Assault – On Nov. 9, 2021 at 7:43 p.m., PSP Jonestown responded to the Northern Lebanon High School for a report of a student reporting that her stepfather touched her inappropriately. PSP Jonestown is investigating. The Victim was a 17 year old Fredericksburg juvenile female.
Vehicle Accident – On Dec. 3, 2021 at approximately 4:08 p.m., this two-vehicle reportable crash occurred on Mount Zion Rd. at its intersection with Myer Dr. This crash occurred as Unit 1, a 2005 Chevrolet Cobalt, driven by Operator 1, a 24 year old Lebanon man, accompanied by Passenger 1, a 19 year old Lebanon woman, was traveling north on Mount Zion Rd. Unit 1 attempted a U-turn and did so unsafely, hitting Unit 2, a 1991 Chevrolet 1500, driven by Operator 2, a 17 year old Myerstown juvenile male. Initial impact occurred as Unit 1’s front bumper came into contact with Unit 2’s passenger’s side rear. Unit 1 and Unit 2 sustained disabling damage as a result of this crash. Operator 1, Passenger 1, and Operator 2 were wearing their seatbelts at the time of the crash. Operator 1, Passenger 1, and Operator 2 did not sustain any injuries as a result of this crash. Operator 1 was cited for Limitations on Turning Around.
Cornwall Borough
Deer Struck – A 26 year old Mount Gretna man struck a deer on Dec. 3, 2021 at 3:19 a.m. on SR 72 North at SR 117. No injuries were reported as a result of this crash. The vehicle was towed from the scene.
Jackson Township
Theft By Deception – On Dec. 1, 2021 at 4:30 p.m., State Police responded to Gable Dr. for a report of a theft. Through investigation, it was determined that an unknown individual gained access to the Victim’s credit card information. The unknown individual then made a fraudulent purchase using the Victim’s credit card. The Victim became aware of this incident and immediately contacted his bank, who stopped the fraudulent transaction from processing. The Victim was a 33 year old Myerstown man. The stolen property included a Fraudulent Credit Card Transaction, valued at $245.03.
Vehicle Accident – On Dec. 2, 2021 at 5:06 p.m., this crash occurred on South Ramona Rd. at its intersection with West Main Ave. in Jackson Twp. Unit 1, a phantom vehicle, driven by Operator 1, was traveling north on South Ramona Rd. Unit 2, a 2020 Mitsubishi Mirage, driven by Operator 2, an 81 year old Lebanon man, was traveling south on South Ramona Rd., preparing to turn east onto West Main Ave. Operator 2 was blinded by Unit 1’s headlights, causing Unit 2 to travel off of the shoulder of the roadway, striking a ditch. Unit 2 sustained disabling damage and was towed from the scene by RJ Sells. Operator 2 was wearing his seatbelt at the time of the crash. Operator 2 did not sustain any injuries as a result of this crash. PSP Jonestown was assisted on scene by Lebanon County fire companies.
Millcreek Township
Vehicle Accident – On Nov. 2, 2021 at 8:57 p.m., this two-vehicle crash occurred as Unit 1, a 2014 Jeep Wrangler, driven by Operator 1, was pulling into the lot on the 00 block of East Alumni Ave. to park. Unit 2, a 2004 Saturn Ion, was parked in the same lot. As Operator 1 attempted to back up, she pulled forward to adjust her position and struck the front passenger’s side of Unit 2. Operator 1 then parked Unit 1. Upon making contact with Operator 1, in Unit 1, signs of impairment were observed. Operator 1 was subsequently arrested for suspicion of DUI. Operator 1 was cited for Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol/Controlled Substance – Highest Rate of Alcohol.
Myerstown Borough
Harassment – On Dec. 2, 2021 at 5:59 p.m., State Police responded to West Main Ave. for an inactive domestic. Upon arrival, an investigation was conducted and determined that a verbal altercation occurred between two brothers (Victim/Arrestee 1 and Victim/Arrestee 2). The altercation turned physical when Victim/Arrestee 2 punched Victim/Arrestee 1 in the back and grabbed him by the bookbag and side/neck. Victim/Arrestee 1 then pepper-sprayed Victim/Arrestee 2 in the ear and on the back of the head. NTCs for Summary Harassment have been filed on both parties. The Victims/Arrestees were a 17 year old Myerstown man and an 18 year old Myerstown man.
North Londonderry Township
Simple Assault, Harassment, Disorderly Conduct – On Nov. 10, 2021 at 9:45 a.m., the North Londonderry Twp. Police responded to the Palmyra High School for a fight between two male students. As a result of this incident, a 16 year old Palmyra male was charged with Simple Assault, Harassment, and Disorderly Conduct, and a 15 year old male was charged with Harassment and Disorderly Conduct.
Swatara Township
Drug Sale – On Nov. 27, 2021 at 6:15 p.m., PSP Jonestown conducted a traffic stop on the 00 block of I 78 East. During the traffic stop, the trooper observed numerous signs of criminal activity. Permitting for consent to search was denied. A search warrant was then granted. A search of the vehicle yielded approximately one pound of commercially packaged marijuana. The Arrestees were a 37 year old Bronx, NY man, a 38 year old Bronx, NY woman, and a 49 year old East Stroudsburg woman. The vehicles involved included a 2004 Hyundai Santa Fe.
Vehicle Accident – On Nov. 21, 2021 at 4:41 a.m., this crash occurred on I 81 South in the area of mile marker 94.6 in Swatara Twp. This was a two-vehicle crash that occurred as Unit 1, a 1998 Toyota Camry, driven by Operator 1, a 28 year old Columbia man, was traveling south on I 81 in the area of mile marker 94 in the right lane. Unit 2, a 2002 Lincoln-Continental MKZ, was parked and unoccupied on the right shoulder of the roadway at the time of the crash. Unit 1 began to leave its lane of travel and struck Unit 2 in the driver’s side fender and front wheel area with the passenger’s side bumper and fender of Unit 1. Unit 1 then traveled approximately 50 yards before coming to final rest on the right shoulder. Operator 1 then fled the scene prior to PSP arrival. Unit 1 sustained damage to its front passenger’s side bumper, tire, and fender. Unit 2 sustained damage to its driver’s side fender and front wheel. Operator 1 contacted PSP Jonestown the following day and admitted to operating Unit 1 at the time of the crash. Both Units were towed from the scene by Hammer’s Towing. Operator 1 was wearing his seatbelt at the time of the crash. Operator 1 did not sustain any injuries as a result of this crash. Operator 1 was cited for Driving on Roadways Laned for Traffic.
Union Township
Vehicle Accident – On Oct. 30, 2021 at 9:28 a.m., this crash occurred as Unit 3, an unknown make and model, driven by Operator 3, was stopped on the left lane ahead of Unit 2, a 2018 Honda Odyssey, driven by Operator 2, an 85 year old Washington, NJ man, accompanied by Passenger 2, a 79 year old Washington, NJ woman. Unit 2 was stopped on the left lane behind Unit 3. Unit 1, a 2004 Buick Regal, driven by Operator 1, a 77 year old Bethlehem man, accompanied by Passenger 1, a 72 year old Bethlehem woman, was traveling westbound on the left lane of I 78 Westbound. Unit 1 failed to stop and hit Unit 2. Unit 2 then moved forward from its stopped position and hit Unit 3. Operator 1, Passenger 1, Operator 2, and Passenger 2 were wearing their seatbelts at the time of the crash. Operator 1, Passenger 1, Operator 2, and Passenger 2 did not sustain any injuries as a result of this crash. Operator 1 was cited for Driving Vehicle at Safe Speed.
West Cornwall Township
Harassment – A 20 year old woman was cited for Harassment after an incident on Oct. 13, 2021 at 6:25 p.m. at an institution in West Cornwall Twp.
