Editor’s Note: In 2021, Michael and Nicole Borrell began reviewing Lebanon Valley’s restaurants and eating attractions as the Lebanon Valley Food Critics. Since then, the couple has aimed to offer unbiased reviews of the eating and drinking establishments the Lebanon Valley has to offer. LebTown is pleased to be partnering with LVFC to share these reviews with our readers. Bon appétit!

The Lebanon Valley Food Critics have never been to Italy. And today, that statement still holds true.

But we did get to travel to Naples Pizza. Was it a worthy substitution for a trip to Italy?

Located in the North Londonderry Square shopping center in North Londonderry Township, this simple pizza shop hides well within the strip mall. LVFC learned about Naples Pizza through the restaurant’s direct mail campaign.

Naples Pizza offers local delivery and online ordering through the Slice app. For our lunch order, we utilized the Slice app to place my order. The online menu and ordering process is easy to navigate and simple to use.

When it came time to pick-up, we were able to quickly walk in and walk out in just a few seconds.

For today’s offerings, we ordered a Sicilian slice with pepperoni & sausage ($3.50) and the sausage roll ($6.59). The Sicilian slice came nice and thick, with sliced pepperoni and sausage. I was expecting the sausage to be chunks.

Despite the slightly burnt edges, this slice tasted good as it had a wonderful exterior crunch, soft center, and plenty of sweet sauce.

I originally was looking for a calzone, but then I was about to talk myself into ordering a stromboli. I then read an item that I haven’t seen on a pizza menu before, described as “Slow cooked onions with spices on top of sweet Italian sausage with American & mozzarella cheeses & wrapped in our homemade dough & baked to perfection.”

I always love trying something new. I wasn’t sure what to expect and it started off looking like a ‘boli.

It ended up being a dough-wrapped sausage sandwich of delicious goodness. There was a nice spicy kick along the way although it could use some more veggies inside. I will be ordering this again.

Our take: This place offers decent meals and is fairly priced. The online ordering process makes for a simple grab & go option. We appreciate a unique item on the menu that makes a restaurant stand out. And the sausage roll is that for Naples. Give it a try.

We give this place ????.
