LebTown features a different Lebanon County pet each Friday to help us enter the weekend with the best vibes possible.

The Pet of the Week will sometimes be a local furbaby who already lives in a happy Lebanon County home. On other occasions, the column will spotlight an animal that’s available for adoption through a local shelter and is seeking a forever family.

This week, meet Zeus, a PAWS cat looking for a home. (Not to be confused with Zeus, a Humane Society pup featured two weeks ago who’s also looking for a home!)

Zeus

Zeus is a young adult who is looking for a home that will treat him like a god, just as his name suggests.

“His most favorite thing in the world is a water fountain,” says PAWS director Kathy Fitzkee. “Hours of play time and hydration.”

He also loves attention and naps on laps, “as long as he deems you worthy of his attention,” Kathy adds. “Zeus is cool with small dogs that he can boss around and prefers not to share his home with another feline since he wants to be the only Greek god in the home.”

You can visit Zeus at the Lebanon PetSmart. “If he likes you, he’ll show you his fountain,” Kathy says.

PAWS cats are spay/neutered, current on age-appropriate vaccinations, treated for fleas/parasites and tested negative for feline leukemia and FIV. No same day adoptions.

Do you think Zeus is a match for you? To arrange a meet and greet or for more information on this furry friend, email Kathy at PAWS@PAWSofPA.org.
