Editor’s Note: Last year, Michael and Nicole Borrell began reviewing Lebanon Valley’s restaurants and eating attractions as the Lebanon Valley Food Critics. Since then, the couple has aimed to offer unbiased reviews of the eating and drinking establishments the Lebanon Valley has to offer. LebTown is pleased to be partnering with LVFC to share these reviews with our readers. Bon appétit!

It feels like we haven’t had a breakfast review in a while. So, last week I decided to make a stop on the way to my office. But where to go?

I remembered a place that I had passed several hundreds of times, always wondering “is it open?” or “I wonder what that place is like.” So today I traveled out north on State Route 72, north of Jonestown, and pulled into the stone lot of Miller’s Restaurant.

This standalone diner has booth and table seating as well as counter service. The menu has a wide range of comfort fare available. They are open for breakfast and lunch during the week.

For today’s breakfast I ordered the meat lover’s omelet ($8) with home fries ($2.5) and rye toast. This plate size meal comes with bacon, ham, sausage adorned on top of a flat omelet. The home fries on the side were done with a crispy edge. This breakfast dish was served up quickly which helps when you need to get to work.

Our take: Miller’s Restaurant is the definition of a greasy spoon. The menu is comfort food. This diner has its regulars. You get a healthy portion and it’s served up quickly. Different specials daily for breakfast and lunch. They just recently added Saturday breakfast hours.

We give this place ????.
