Lebanon’s Congregation Beth Israel announced that its annual lecture will feature Shelby Van Pelt, the best-selling author of Remarkably Bright Creatures, this year’s selection for the Lebanon County Library’s Lebanon County Reads Program.

The lecture is slated for Tuesday, Sept. 12.

For those interested in attending, tickets are now available at all Lebanon County Library locations. Alternatively, tickets can be purchased online at shelbyvanpelt-lebanon.eventbrite.com or by calling Sammi at Congregation Beth Israel at 717-273-2669.

A special reception with Van Pelt is set to begin at 7 p.m., with tickets priced at $100. The lecture itself will commence at 8 p.m. Adult tickets for the lecture are priced at $20, while student tickets are available for $10.

The evening’s events will conclude with a question-and-answer session, a book sale, and an opportunity for attendees to have their copies of Remarkably Bright Creatures signed by the author herself.

Payments for tickets can be made via check, payable to Congregation Beth Israel. For those preferring to purchase tickets by mail, please send a check along with a self-addressed stamped envelope to: CONGREGATION BETH ISRAEL, 411 S. Eighth St., Lebanon, PA 17042.
